Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Vestal
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
The Beauty industry has always been very intriguing to me since I was a little girl. Growing up, no matter what job I worked, I always found my way back to beauty. I did youtube videos from makeup, traveling & more. Then I started doing my makeup live on Facebook for fun & it grew immensely! Over time my following grew, people all over the world were joining in to watch. I started to have brand companies reach out, wanting to collaborate, send me products to share. My lives were fun, very positive & empowering to others. I got interested in entrepreneurship & I started listening to books, they inspired me to create my own brand & online store selling Lashes. The collabs started to pay great & I was able to quit my job to put myself through esthetician school. Now, I work for myself doing lashes & waxing, while still having fun creating content. No matter when things slow down, the drive & passion is forever in me. Knowledge is something I can’t get enough of, I love to always be learning about many things. Always be coachable in life.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not, one word I like to use is, adversity. Without it we couldn’t grow & become our best selves. I didn’t have much guidance with how to do all the things, everything I’ve done I’ve taught myself. Tons of my own research, when I set my mind to something I go after it. Sure, there were people doubting me. But I kept going because this is what made me happy. I can say, I’m forever grateful I didn’t let the naysayers hold me back from reaching my goals.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Right now I am a Licensed Esthetician. I do lashes & waxing. I still share & do videos on social media. I’ve worked professional jobs, working at the Ute Tribe Juvenile Court. Being an administrative assistant working closely with the COO at a Herbal Company. On the side I would do freelance makeup for weddings, birthdays, movies, etc. I’m proud of how much of a positive impact I’ve made on so many people, when they reach out saying how much I’ve helped them. To show them life can be great, you can feel beautiful & so much more. I have a sincere heart to want to help others be their best self no matter the hurdles in life. Being honest with others & motivating them when they watch a video or leave from their appointments. What sets me apart would be my ambition, drive, & self motivation. My understanding, positivity, & being a jack of all trades. Taking on anything that comes my way. Building genuine relationships with others where I can hold space for them to feel safe.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I like best about our city is the nature, grounding & it is very freeing.
The community is small & safe, when we come together we are very strong. We’re able to give close support & comfort.
What I dislike would be the lack of entertainment.
Small minds & judgement of others.
