Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Mayor.
Hi Rachel, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have always been interested in design since I was a young girl. I remember watching HGTV with my mom and knowing that I had to have my hand in that. Watching a space completely transform and seeing the glow and joy that it brought to people really sparked something inside me. It made me realize just how crucial it is for your happiness and wellbeing to have a beautiful space to live your days in. Being able to create a vision for someone (even if temporary) that helps them see a home within a place they’ve never seen before is so fulfilling and magical.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been mostly a smooth road for me, which I am so grateful for. I had an incredible mentor to help me transition from just being a designer to a business owner and I currently have an amazing team to support me.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I own a Home Staging and Design company! We work with homeowners and realtors to get their properties looking beautiful and ready for pictures and walkthroughs and also offer design consultations! We have a large inventory of amazing furniture and decor that we use to perfectly fit your unique space. Most of our spaces tend to lean towards Mid Century Modern design but we love to be flexible and work with each client for their specific design wants and needs. At my heart I’m just a little girl with a passion for art and beauty. I never thought I would have the opportunity to use my abilities to help and connect with so many people but here I am!
How do you think about happiness?
As an artist, being able to be creative and have a new canvas every week is the greatest blessing I could ask for. I also love being able to connect with and help so many people!
