Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Montano.
Hi Victoria, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Victoria—though most know me as Vee—the founder, lead planner, and heart behind the magic. My journey into event planning began in the summer of 2019, sparked by a deep love for celebrating life’s most meaningful moments. What started as a passion project quickly blossomed into a full-fledged business, specializing in wedding coordination and creating unforgettable experiences for couples planning their wedding.
By 2021, I felt inspired to expand beyond weddings, embracing the joy of baby showers, birthdays, anniversaries, and all the beautiful milestones in between. Each event is a canvas, and I thrive on bringing my clients’ visions to life with creativity, precision, and a touch of sparkle.
Events by Vee isn’t just about logistics—it’s about connection, emotion, and crafting memories that linger long after the last guest leaves. Whether it’s a romantic mountain elopement, a whimsical garden party, or a cozy baby shower filled with love, I pour my heart into every detail.
I’m endlessly grateful for the incredible clients who’ve trusted me with their most cherished celebrations, and I’m beyond excited for the adventures ahead.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not always smooth, but definitely worth it! Like many small business journeys, mine came with its fair share of bumps and lessons. When I launched Events by Vee in 2019, I was full of passion but had to learn the ropes of entrepreneurship quickly. At the time, there weren’t many wedding planners or coordinators in the area so I had to learn from online courses and just jumping in to gain experience.
Then came 2020, and with it, the pandemic. Navigating event cancellations, shifting to micro-weddings, and supporting couples through uncertainty tested my resilience and creativity in ways I never expected. But it also taught me how to pivot, adapt, and show up for my clients with even more heart.
Through it all, I’ve been fueled by the joy of celebration and the trust my clients place in me. The road hasn’t always been smooth, but it’s been paved with purpose and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in wedding coordination and event planning that’s deeply personal, visually stunning, and joyfully unforgettable. I’m known for creating events that feel like a true reflection of my clients, whether it’s a romantic wedding in the mountains, a playful baby shower, or a vibrant birthday celebration. My work blends thoughtful design with seamless execution, and I pride myself on being both a creative partner and a calming presence throughout the planning process.
What sets me apart is the heart I bring to every event. I don’t just plan—I connect. I take time to understand my clients’ stories, their style, and what matters most to them. That’s how I’m able to turn their vision into something tangible and beautiful. I also love incorporating bold colors, custom signage, and unique backdrops that make each celebration feel one-of-a-kind.
I’m most proud of the trust my clients place in me. Seeing their reactions when everything comes together is why I do what I do. Growing Events by Vee from a solo venture into a trusted name in Utah’s event scene has been a dream come true, and I’m so excited for what’s next.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
The wedding industry is built on relationships, and finding mentors or building a strong network has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey. My biggest piece of advice? Start with genuine connection. Some of the most impactful relationships I’ve formed began with connecting with other local vendors and following them on social media. Whether it’s tagging a fellow vendor, sharing a resource, or hyping up someone’s work, those small gestures build trust and goodwill. People remember kindness and collaboration.
In the wedding world, connection is everything. Be brave, be kind, and don’t be afraid to reach out! Most people are more willing to help than you think.
