Today we’d like to introduce you to Britney Beardmore.
Hi Britney, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew up in Texas and eventually followed my career to the beautiful mountains of Utah. I pursued a path in medical imaging research at several academic institutions, most recently at Huntsman Cancer Institute. My entrepreneurial journey with Acrely Farms began in 2020, when I joined Sarah on the farm to help harvest hemp flowers. From there, we began extracting oil from our organically grown flowers to create products formulated to support sleep and stress—something that was especially meaningful during the height of COVID, when plant-powered wellness solutions were in high demand.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Hemp-derived CBD products were federally legalized in all 50 states under the 2018 Farm Bill. However, as a relatively new industry, we’ve faced significant regulatory hurdles over the past five years. Banking and payment processing have been especially challenging, and we’ve lost access to several financial institutions and processors. In addition, advertising restrictions prevent us from promoting our products on Google and most social platforms, which makes building brand awareness difficult.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Acrely Farms?
At Acrely Farms, we follow the plant through its entire life cycle, from seed to final product, to ensure every formulation delivers the best possible results. Our story is bigger than a product; it is a synergistic relationship between people and plants, and we’re passionate about helping clients experience plant powered wellness. We specialize in spa-quality organic oils and ingestible formulations designed to support muscle recovery, restful sleep, and deep relaxation.
With our bloom-to-bottle mission and strong commitment to sustainability, we were honored to receive the Sustainable Newcomer Trailblazer Award from Green Spa Network in October. Our focus is on delivering truly sustainable products, a standard that begins with our responsible farming practices and carries through every stage of production.
Today, we partner with luxury hospitality brands such as Waldorf Astoria, Auberge Resorts Collection, St. Regis, and The Ritz-Carlton, along with many boutique spas across the U.S. We also proudly opened a storefront in the Maven District (900 S and 156 E), joining a collective of more than 100 women-owned businesses so we can share our plant-powered remedies directly with our local Utah community. Our products can also be found online at acrelyfarms.com.
What’s next?
We plan to continue growing the business through new offerings and meaningful partnerships. We’re also excited to launch several give-back initiatives within our local community. Our mission is to provide effective, organic, plant-based remedies while expanding our team and company in a thoughtful, sustainable way.
