Exploring Life & Business with Dallas Bailey of 700 Block Storage

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Dallas Bailey.

Hi Dallas, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started in real estate in 2012, helping my dad list rental properties on KSL.com. Shortly after, I joined the Army. When I returned home, I attended Utah State University, where I earned a degree in business.

During COVID, I built a home and developed and constructed Salt Lake’s tallest self-storage facility. Around that time, I decided it was the right moment to obtain my real estate license. The storage facility was completed in December 2022 and doors opened January 1, 2023. In 2025, I also earned my general contractor license, allowing me to better serve clients throughout the full lifecycle of real estate and development.

Today, I offer clients hands-on services that I personally oversee, helping reduce the stress and logistical challenges that often come with real estate transactions.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road? If not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest challenges has been mastering the full scope of real estate. That includes everything from understanding easements and development to clearly explaining the buying process to first-time homebuyers.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We’ve been ranked Best of Utah in self-storage two years in a row. Beyond storage, we work closely with trusted commercial and residential partners to support our clients through every stage of their transition.

  • Moving, packing, and logistics companies(Local or cross country, even internationally
  • Self-storage, short-term, and long-term storage solutions
  • Property management and investment support services

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was a shy kid growing up, but I’ve always been a hard worker. Traditional school never felt like the best use of my time, so I entered the workforce early, working as a mover from my late teens into my mid-twenties. That experience taught me discipline, problem-solving, and the difference between simply working hard and working smart.

In 2012, I joined the Army, where I worked with explosives and construction. Military training reinforced structure, accountability, and the ability to perform under pressure—skills that shaped how I approach every venture since. The discipline, planning, and risk management I learned there continue to guide how I build teams, systems, and businesses today.

I’ve continued to evolve by taking on difficult challenges, believing that real growth comes from ownership, adaptability, and doing the work others avoid.
