Exploring Life & Business with Daniel Salazar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Salazar.

Hi Daniel, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up moving back and forth between my home country of Ecuador and the U.S. until we finally settled in Utah at a young age. My brother and I were raised by my hardworking and loving mother and as she learned the ways of living and working here, we were able to have decent education and opportunity for many extracurricular activities.

Since my mother was a waitress we had just enough for a decent living but anything extra was at a cost. I personally learned to work hard once I joined sports teams such as wrestling, rugby, football, lacrosse, and snowboarding. I understood the truth behind the phrase, “hard work pays off” as I learned what winning felt like through team sports. I went on to win two State Championship titles and three National Championship titles playing rugby.

Living in Utah I was exposed to the LDS church and at 18 years old I left for a two-year service mission to South Korea. My experience in South Korea taught me so much and truly was the turning point in my direction towards success. In Korea, children compete to get accepted into top-tier high schools, yes high school! That means at the ages of 11-14 Korean children are competing for their lives because they know that if they don’t go to a top-tier high school then they don’t go to a top-tier university and according to the culture you would be labeled a loser if they do not make it. Once I saw how hard these kids worked and the heartbreak they would go through when they didn’t make it gave me all the motivation and inspiration in the world to excel here in the States.

Today I’m perfectly happy with where I am but definitely not satisfied. I am married to an amazing woman and have a newborn baby boy. I am fluent in Spanish, English, Korean, and Portuguese as I’m also currently studying Tagalog from the Philippines. We have managed to start a rental property business where we have two cash-flowing properties at the moment. I work for a cryptocurrency and blockchain technology company as the marketing and sales manager for several products.

My wife is a registered nurse and is an expert in dialysis and kidney care. We are also running our own business where we teach individuals financial principles and educate them on credit scores, real estate, cryptocurrencies, and occupational development. We are a multi-citizenship family and will soon be moving to live abroad to enjoy travel and teaching our kids about the beautiful world we live in.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have a saying I use that goes, “If I don’t stop I can’t lose” and it has helped me tremendously. Of course, it has been a bumpy road so if I were to name a few of the struggles off the top of my head they would be rejection, mistakes, embarrassment, burnout, anxiety, depression, loneliness, injury, sleep deprivation, and disappointment.

It sounds so cliche but each struggle has made me stronger mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. I love to challenge myself by doing the most difficult things so then I can take everything into perspective when times get tough. For example, I did a two-year service mission in South Korea so that when I went to learn Portuguese in Brazil I could reflect on what I have already done and push myself to reach my goal of learning Portuguese. Set your goal to the moon so that when you don’t make it to the moon at least your still in space with an amazing view of planet Earth! If you make it to the moon even better!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am a consultant and educator in finance specializing in Web 3 developments. The business name Kepler refers to the planet Kepler 452b which was found in another galaxy. It is commonly referred to as Earth 2.0. for its similarities. We at Kepler Solutions believe that a 2.0. a version of the world does not exist in a different galaxy but is simply a second version of the planet we currently live on.

Web 3 is the stepping stone for mankind to get to “Earth 2.0.” where the best solutions will come from financial freedom, innovation, decentralization, and technological access for all. People always say, “they don’t teach this stuff in schools” and I find it to be true to this day! So with Kepler Solutions, I hope to bring financial and technological education to as many people as possible.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Networking can definitely be considered a skill. A skill we can use to build and grow ourselves where the sky is the limit. At Kepler Solutions, we offer financial and technological mentors to help people get to the life they want to live. Outside of Kepler I have gone to events, introduced myself to strangers, and joined groups, clubs, or teams where I could meet like-minded people and have had a great deal of success doing that.

Nowadays you can do that without leaving the comfort of your home. Platforms like a treehouse, Twitter spaces, telegram, discord, and Reddit have mentors and networking opportunities like you couldn’t believe.
