Exploring Life & Business with Eden Gabai of AirPro UT

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eden Gabai

Hi Eden, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was born in New York, and raised in Israel. I’ve always dreamed about having a business in America. grew up on all the TV shows, metallic, Eminem. The United States has been a dream of mine since I was a child. after my military service in Israel, I was backpacking in India and met a guy who was in Utah before. when we got back from Israel we decided to come here together and work in the air duct cleaning business. when covid started I almost got back to Israel. but something in me told me I had to make my dream come true and start my own business. everyone told me I was crazy starting a service business in the most difficult times, but here I am after 4 years.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Been so far away from my family and friends. I came here and started from scratch. no money, no knowledge. just dreams and inspirations. I’ve met some really bad people down the road. you learn the hard way how people behave when money is involved. you learn about trust, what to as, and what you need to keep to yourself since you never know how can it be used against you. getting used to different mentality, different rules, and how big America is.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about AirPro UT?
AirPro UT is an air duct and dryer vent cleaning business. we specialize in commercial and residential duct cleaning, repair, install. I’ve been in the industry for 8 years and am well-known for my experience. I love solving problems nobody could fix before us. I’ve decided there’s nothing we can do, and I’m not afraid to do anything that will teach me something new. Working with people is the best thing in the world. you learn so much about people, and every day you can meet someone who will make your day so much better. I remember there was one building in downtown Salt Lake when they took our offer and said it was because we were the most professional company out of all the others- I felt so proud of myself. that was the only thing I wanted to be known for. doing the job is easy when you get it. to be the best in it is difficult. when we get the governmental project it always makes me look back and just be proud of our team for the good effort. those projects were so far away from us when we just started.
I really believe that our team made t be so special. from office to field techs. we started with nothing and now we have the best team in Utah. we all love what we do. we all want the best for each other. it’s all in the team.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
our office manager Dennise. for giving everything when we had nothing and not giving up.
for music which encouraged me whenever I was down, music had a huge impact on me in the happy and less moments.
my parents for supporting me from far away. it’s not easy, and they give all the time in the world to make my dreams come true.
for my sergeant in the army who taught me, that there was nothing I could do, he pushed me to my limits and showed me the beyond and that I could do great things if ill kept pushing myself.
for my friends- who started like me from scratch. gave me advises when I needed them, and listened to me when I needed an ear and some patient.
To Metallica for being the best band in the world their music inspired me so much.
