Exploring Life & Business with Erica Bailey of CWG Digital

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Erica Bailey.

Erica Bailey

Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
In the wake of Arizona’s market collapse a few years into our marriage, my husband and I found ourselves at a crossroads. Armed with my master’s degree and his extensive experience, we still faced the daunting challenge of finding work that could sustain our young family.

It was during this uncertain time that we leaned into our combined knowledge of marketing and business, sparking the idea to start our own marketing firm. The journey over the last 15 years has been nothing short of a roller coaster—filled with highs and lows, exhilaration and apprehension. Yet, through it all, we’ve remained anchored by our core purpose: to cherish each moment together and be present for our children in every aspect of their lives.

Having called Chandler, Arizona, home for many years, we eventually made the heartfelt decision to relocate to Evanston. Our move was driven by a desire to bring our children closer to family in Eagle Mountain and Bear River and to immerse them in an environment as enchanting as the one we envisioned for them.

While I hold the title of majority owner of our firm, the truth is that my husband is the true genius behind our success. His insights and creativity have been the secret ingredients to our unique blend of services. As the newly appointed VP of the Evanston Chamber of Commerce, I’m excited to weave our story into the fabric of this community, contributing to its growth and prosperity just as it has welcomed us and our dreams with open arms.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Is the journey through life or business ever devoid of bumps? Honestly, it’s not. Along the way, we encountered challenges, both as work partners and life partners. Time and again, we made poor decisions and initially struggled to glean wisdom from these missteps.

However, as we matured, we embraced our failures as lessons, learning to fail forward and recognizing that growth stems from continuous learning—without it, we stagnate. This is a theme I frequently explore on my Innovative Entrepreneurs Podcast.

We’ve been impressed with CWG Digital, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart?
We are a full-service marketing and design studio offering a comprehensive suite of video, marketing, and advertising solutions. Our niche lies in providing end-to-end social media management and content creation services. From designing and building websites to bridging the gap between your brand and its audience, we cater to all aspects of digital marketing.

My role is primarily that of a strategist, followed by being a marketer. I dedicate significant time to working closely with our clients, understanding their short and long-term objectives, developing strategic plans, and crafting tailored growth strategies.

Our unique selling proposition is our commitment to kindness. We firmly believe that kindness is the simplest yet most potent way to add value. We strive to be more than just an ‘agency’ for our clients; we aim to become an integral extension of their businesses.

One of the accomplishments that fills me with immense pride is the brand image that my husband and business partner have crafted. It beautifully encapsulates our core values and ethos, which are grounded in kindness.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check?
My podcast helps me grow thanks to the knowledge of those I am interviewing. I have a wonderful group of mentors and I take time to read many genres, listen to phenomenal audio books, and I listen to Gary V’s message all the time. My best life is lived when I can share love, light, and kindness, always.

My favorite books are the Harry Potter series. I grew up with them and now have a bit of an obsession with HP memorabilia. I use the Calm app daily for morning meditation.
