Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaquelyn Degracia.
Hi Jaquelyn, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Mini Stacks started in January 2025 as a small homemade treat business inspired by my love for baking and my mom, who worked as a cake decorator at Sam’s Club. What started with creating sweet treats from home slowly grew into something much bigger. After losing my grandparents, especially my grandma who always encouraged me to keep going, I felt even more motivated to continue building the business in her honor.
Over time, I expanded beyond treats and created the Mini Stacks mini pancake cart, offering freshly made mini pancakes, seasonal treats, and refreshing lemonades at pop-ups, markets, and private events. I’ve learned so much through every event—from creating new products and building my brand to connecting with customers and learning the business side of being an entrepreneur.
Today, Mini Stacks is still growing, and I’m excited to continue turning my little idea into something bigger while creating fun, delicious experiences for my customers.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. One of my biggest challenges has been learning how to run a business while balancing being a mom and everything that comes with everyday life. There have also been times when sales were slow, events didn’t turn out the way I hoped, or I questioned whether I was doing enough.
I’ve had to learn that not every idea will work, and that’s okay. Instead of giving up, I’ve learned to listen to my customers, try new things, change my products when needed, and keep showing up. Every challenge has taught me something new and helped me become more confident as a business owner.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Mini Stacks By Jackie is a small dessert business that started from my love of baking and creating fun treats for others. What began as a small home-based treat business has grown into a brand offering handcrafted desserts, seasonal treats, freshly made mini pancakes, and refreshing lemonades at local markets, pop-ups, and private events.
One of the things that sets Mini Stacks apart is that I’m always looking for ways to make the experience fun and memorable. My mini pancake cart has become one of my favorite parts of the business because customers get to enjoy fresh, warm mini pancakes while choosing their favorite toppings and creating their own stack. I also love creating seasonal flavors and products that give customers something new to look forward to throughout the year.
I’m most proud of how much Mini Stacks has grown since I first started. I’ve learned how to create my own products, build a brand, market my business, participate in local events, and connect with my community. My goal is to continue growing Mini Stacks while staying true to what makes it special homemade treats, creativity, and creating something that brings people a little bit of happiness.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is my family, especially being a mom, and being able to create a life that I’m proud of. I also find a lot of happiness in creating things, whether that’s baking, coming up with new ideas for Mini Stacks, or seeing someone genuinely enjoy something I made.
There’s something really rewarding about starting with an idea and watching it come to life. Seeing customers get excited about my treats and my business reminds me why I started in the first place. I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by the people I love and doing something that allows me to be creative and build something of my own.
