Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Page.
Hi Jessica, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have been in the hair industry for 20 years. I started hair school in 2002 and have been in it ever since! I have worked in a few salons with the most amazing people. The opportunity presented itself to open my own salon in 2015 and I ran with it, Blondies Co. was born! It’s been a roller coaster of a ride and I’ve loved it. There was a fire in the building in 2019 and I had to shut down Blondies Co. for four months to rebuild the space. I had so many surrounding salon owners rally and find space for me to continue to work with my clients. The sense of community was overwhelming. I reopened again with a new staff and hit the ground running. Through 2020 the sense of community continued to grow. None of us as stylists knew if we would be able to work or how to work with the COVID 19 restrictions. We all leaned on one another and got through it. From those experiences, I created The Mane Collective. A community of hairstylists wanting to connect and grow together! Community over competition. I am passionate about this industry. I love to see stylists grow and succeed! I have another project I am passionate about launching soon. Keep a look out for The Stylist Box launching this summer!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like I stated, it’s been a roller coaster! Starting Blondies Co. was a little crazy. I had to be in a temporary location for 5 weeks while the build out was happening. In the temporary location, I had 7 stylists rotating through 5 stations. Strategically planning schedules to not overlap. In that 5 weeks, I found out I was pregnant with my first. It was a crazy time!

Blondies Co. is my salon. We specialize in Blondes, Lived-In and Dimensional colors as well as extensions. My staff is constantly keeping up with the latest and greatest trends. We value continuing to grow to perfect our craft!
The Mane Collective is a community for hairstylists. It’s a place for hairstylists to connect and grow. We host events at the best locations with the best food. Our community has some of the most successful and interesting stylists around!
What matters most to you? Why?
I love to see others succeed. Watching others grow, there’s nothing like it! Seeing my stylists come in with zero clientele to fully booked and growing their skills, it’s the best!
