Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonny Morrow.
Hi Jonny, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Howdy! My name is Jonny Morrow. I’m from Northern Wyoming, where my Pa owned and operated his own personal shop for side projections. He brought me into the world of mechanics where I rebuilt my first truck and brought it back to life! After meeting my now wife, I moved to Utah. Unsure of what I wanted to do. I was hired for a company doing simple shop mechanic maintenance. From there I became a field mechanic. I switched companies to further my knowledge as a diesel mechanic where I learned so much! After working there and acquiring lots of personal tools, I decided to start my own thing. That’s how Black Rock Mobile Repair was born! We bring fast and efficient auto and diesel services straight to your home or jobsite.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing great is ever easy. Lots of stressful aspects when running a business, especially when I am the one and only employee. I am in the business of serving people. I want nothing less then full satisfaction for my customers. I’ve had people question my judgement or assume I am trying to rip them off. I am an honest and hard working man, and will always try my best with every job I’m given.

I started Black Rock Mobile Repairs because I saw how much downtime was costing local businesses that rely on their trucks and equipment to stay productive. A single breakdown can throw off an entire day’s work, cost thousands in lost revenue, and create unnecessary stress. I wanted to create a mobile diesel and equipment repair service that comes directly to job sites so businesses can keep their fleets running strong without the headache of towing, shop delays, or extended downtime.
Our mission is simple: to keep hard-working businesses moving by providing reliable, on-site maintenance and repairs with honesty, transparency, and skill. Whether it’s a contractor with one truck or a company managing a full fleet of heavy equipment, we make sure they can keep serving their customers without interruption.
The impact of this work goes beyond fixing engines — it keeps local contractors, HVAC companies, plumbers, landscapers, and other small businesses on schedule so they can serve our growing Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain communities. By keeping their vehicles road-ready, we help keep construction projects moving, service calls on time, and our local economy stronger.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Switching from a secure job with benefits to being self employed is the ultimate risk when trying to provide for a family. My wife and I had a lot of back and forth about the pros and cons. Ultimately we decided that there is no better time then now to take that leap of faith! Only time will tell if the risk is worth the reward!
