Exploring Life & Business with Nathaniel Parker of Hit Select Agency

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathaniel Parker.

Hi Nathaniel, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
So I’ve always been side hustling since I was a kid. Cutting grass, cleaning yards, or just figuring out how to make a buck. Pair that with a curious mind and desire to learn, and you have built one pillar of who I am. The big journey began when I started making merch for content creators on Mixer and Twitch. Understanding the landscape, I realized there was a gap in the market for alerts for shopify stores so I paired up with a friend and co founded StreamAlerts.app, at the same time I was coaching creators how to properly market their content, and branding. That turned into me working with brands and setting up partnerships with comapanies like ASUS, Gfuel, GamerSupps, Mackie, and being the partner manager for JuJu Energy (now gone). However, with the wealth of knowledge and skills, I began to fully embrace my desire for marketing and started Hit Select Agency. Was brought in to lead with product development and go- to-market strategy. For a new product called “GameScent” New age “Smell O Vision” if you will. Hit Select Agency is the embodiment of desire and excitement of seeing products launch, grow, and expand and having fun being creative in the process. So if you need marketing help my team can do it all.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road by any means, it’s been a road with some speed bumps, but like speed bumps it doesn’t stop you, you just slow down for a moment, get over it and drive forward. That’s always been the mentality, you have to want it more than the air you breathe. Because if you couldn’t breath how bad would you fight for air? That’s business, you’re going to have rough spots but it’s how you fight through them is what’s going to set you apart. I’ve had a company stop a paying paychecks right before Holidays, pull the short straw during 2008 market issues, to being in the hospital with covid before vaccines came out. Though the desire to succeed has always been more then the willingess to just fail.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Marketing is always changing and adapting. That’s the fun yet challenging part. I truly believe AI is going to make general marketing more readily available but one thing AI, nor any school can teach is how to be uniquely creative. Current trends is brands using AI to make UGC (User Generated Content) and pushing that out, but mark my words, people want aunthenticy people are going to want real. Trends are like a pendulum the same fashion that was hip in the 60’s 70’s heck even 90’s! come back around. 90’s movies use to show bloopers at the end of the film to show the authenticity of the comedy etc. it’s going happen again just like the real UGC content. You’ll see more UGC and brand posts that feel raw and reel not really scripted. In the world of AI people want real, and unique. Be the black dot on the white wall.
