Hi Noelle, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
After being let go from my role as a social media manager during the 2022 tech layoffs, I turned to freelancing to keep myself busy and bring in some money during a difficult time. With years in the digital marketing space, I knew that my experience could help other businesses navigate the tricky waters of social media.
As I began to work individually with clients, I quickly realized the need people have for marketing expertise but that they don’t always have the resources to hire a full time employee. I knew that by creating an agency where I get to choose which type of clients I take on, that I could build something mutually beneficial and ultimately grow both businesses. Plus, with the lofty goal of being the one calling the shots, taking risks, and ultimately shaping the future of my business, Outbound Creative Marketing Industry was born.
In addition to launching my marketing agency, I’m a Marketing Specialist for a fantastic company – STG. While I am one busy woman, I am fortunate to work alongside so many talented individuals at STG while also slowly building something of my own.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’d love to say it’s been a smooth road, but I also love to keep it real – it hasn’t been. It’s been busy, confusing, and overwhelming. It’s also been exciting and empowering but my biggest challenge is truly taking the chance on myself and my business.
It’s a scary thing to put so much time and energy into something that may fail. There’s also no rule book for how to do this – how to try go off on your own, how to do it properly and legally, branding, choosing a name, all of the little things that go into starting and running a business. It’s hard work and it takes time and I have to practice patience and being kind to myself while I navigate this new territory.

What matters most to you? Why?
To be honest this question is tough for me to answer. I keep typing up responses and deleting them because something feels off and then I realized it’s because what matters most to me, is what matters most to my client! Each client and their business is so unique that what is most important should be determined together followed by the remainder of our marketing plan.
A close second is how well we work together. At Outbound, we want mutually beneficial relationships. We want you to be pleased to know and work with us and vice versa. Like we mentioned earlier, we’re all about the vibes.
