Today we’d like to introduce you to Pinkie Dabney.
Hi Pinkie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I started when I was in my early 30s. I’ve been a single mother since 14 years old. My goal has always been to provide for myself and my family without any help. I am from Baltimore Maryland every time I will pick up a job listing I always see Trucking job openings. I knew right then and there that I had to become a trucker for financial stability and contentment. I am a free-spirited person. I’ve tried other careers but was never fulfilled. I used to be an auto mechanic and then I want it to be a diesel mechanic but fell in love with being able to travel while making money and having a stable job no matter how the economy falls. Trucking is part reason why I got divorced but I would not trade my career for anything else. I got where I am at today because of perseverance, knowing what I want, and having tough skin to go after what I want. Nothing is easy about getting or maintaining your happiness, goals, and dreams. With the hunger though anything is definitely possible!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road at all. My whole journey has had a lot of bumps in the road. The major struggle is in was the lack of help and support from family friends lovers etc. But I never gave up if anything the struggles made me push harder because IM very competitive and refuse to quit. My struggles have been trying to provide a safe and loving home while pursuing my career. That is not an easy task for a two-parent household let alone a one-parent household. So a lot of my struggles have been running into people that saw my potential and did not want to see me make it. I guess I intimidate people with my go-getter spirit. Another struggle has been my abandonment issues from childhood that rear their ugly head and my life today but like I said that has been my fuel to push harder for achievement.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business is a trucking company. I started this business six years ago. It has been on and off because of me being a single parent. Hi drive trucks and deliver loads from point a to point B. I specialize in dry van freight and reefer freight. I am known for on-time deliveries, I am known for teaching others how to be safe out here on the road, and I’m also known for making people laugh and feel good to join this industry. What sets me apart from most is that I am very outgoing, humble and spirit, and willing to bring somebody with me and Success without any expectation. What I am most proud of Brandwise is the integrity that I establish with my brand. What I want readers to know about my brain is that it represents honesty, integrity, hard work, and fulfillment. I offer on-time delivery along with decent rates. I am still an upcoming company. I am not in for operation just yet.
How do you define success?
For me, I define success, yes achieving goals that you set forth for yourself. Success for everyone is different in meaning. My meaning of success is obtaining financial freedom and peace of mind.
