Today we’d like to introduce you to Robert Pomahac.
Hi Robert, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
We just launched Modern Health U. A medical diagnostic and research institute that specializes in 1. Acute/Chronic pain, 2. TBI/Concussion, 3. Sports Research/Performance.
After 20 years in private practice, the missing piece to understanding pain and wellness is the initial objective diagnostic evaluation. If you don’t have a comprehensive evaluation process and don’t provide objective proof to get the correct diagnoses, then your treatments won’t be as effective short and long term.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There are no days off when you are creating an innovative approach to pain management and lifestyle improvement. I focus on the 10x rule.
Whatever you are working to accomplish, remember that it will be 10x harder than you imagined. Stay focused because your purpose is bigger than the grind.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Modern Health U was created by utilizing 30+ years of scientific research. Our group of doctors has been published over 300 times. We’ve created a business model that combines modern technology and spine research.
Our layered, in-depth approach to understanding the causes of spine and brain pathology is a first in its field. We use multiple bio-markers in our objective data collection to have a complete whole-person understanding of the pathologies contributing to your symptoms. And then we provide laser-focused therapies to correct those causes.
In many situations, we are the person’s last hope. They’ve usually gone and seen multiple doctors and haven’t gotten the answers and are still unable to live symptom-free. Frustrating to say the least. People deserve to be healthy. Once we review their findings, a light bulb goes off, and they are finally able to see the light. They have answers and understand how vital they are in the healing process.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Living in Utah has been amazing. Getting to know the lay of the land and still in the discovery mode, we’ve been surprised at the uniqueness of Utah. Park City offers a great diverse quality of life. My kids have loved the freedom of living in the mountains. The best snow on earth, is the truth and our family ski adventures have my two young boys already beating me down the slopes.
There’s a better work-lifestyle balance and I’ve been able to spend more quality time with my wife, and kids. I grew up and lived in big cities my whole life. So now living in a ski/mountain town has been an adjustment. Getting used to the slower pace is still a work in progress. But our international family adventures have filled the void of big city life.
