Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Hofheins.
Hi Ryan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was an orphan kid who grew up in construction with a minor in alcoholism. In 2018 I got sober and a year later started Disaster Recovery Services, later rebranded as Revival Restoration and Construction. I worked restoration the previous 10 years and really wanted to start my own company with focus on honor, workmanship, and integrity. Our business is based on spiritual principles, doing good for people, and telling them the truth about disasters, the claims process, and the most important, transparency about our work and pricing
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been easy… sometimes our paychecks can be delayed by up to 6 months, causing us to have to carry a lot of costs for long periods. This has caused a lot of hardship to get through. Also finding employees that care as much as I do has also proven difficult. Lastly, I’m a contractor who fixes houses, I’m not a professional at scaling a business, I find myself, more often than not, working for my business, not on my business.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are flood, fire, mold, wind, sewer, and building damage professionals. With over 25 years of experience, we strive to be honest, upfront, and tell people the truth about insurance and the situation they are in. We offer free inspections in the St George/ Hurricane area with free advice. We do the clean up as well as the reconstruction as we are a licensed general contractor as well. We don’t pay high referral fees to plumbers that are later passed on to the client and/or the insurance. We believe our work and our past clients testimonials prove that we are far above our competitors in service, workmanship, and transparency. We pride ourselves in doing what’s right and taking care of clients homes the way we would take care of our own.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
BNI has been a great place for us to build relationships and network. I’ve mainly just used my experience in this industry to build our business.
