Southern Utah Tree Service is a locally-owned tree care company with deep roots in the community and more than 20 years of experience serving homeowners and businesses throughout the Southern Utah region.
The business as it exists today grew from a family-oriented legacy. Michelle Rogers grew up helping with all aspects of the company her father launched when her family moved to Southern Utah in her youth. She gained hands-on experience in tree care, customer service, and the operational side of the business over two decades.
Later, Michelle and her husband, Tony Rogers, acquired the company and continued to expand its reach and reputation. Tony, who relocated to Southern Utah as a teenager and comes from a lifelong love of working outdoors, brought his passion for quality workmanship and customer care into the leadership of the business.
Under their guidance, Southern Utah Tree Service has evolved into a full-service, year-round tree care provider offering everything from routine pruning and tree removal to stump grinding, risk assessment, long-term planning, and 24/7 emergency service. They pride themselves on professional expertise, attention to detail, and enhancing the beauty and value of clients’ properties.
Today, the company is known for its trusted service, knowledgeable crew, and commitment to client satisfaction, continuing to honor its roots while growing to meet the needs of Southern Utah’s landscape and community.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any business that’s been around for two decades, the road hasn’t always been smooth. There have been plenty of ups and downs along the way. Running a service-based business means navigating changing markets, unpredictable weather, equipment challenges, staffing hurdles, and the natural growing pains that come with building something that lasts.
What’s mattered most is that we never viewed those challenges as stopping points. We adapted, learned, and kept showing up for our customers. Every setback sharpened our process, strengthened our team, and reinforced why we do what we do.
Twenty years later, we’re still here. That persistence is something we’re proud of, and it’s the foundation we continue to build on today.
