I am Alfonso Rei, the third generation of a family dedicated to construction. Our story begins in Portugal with my grandfather, who began his journey in the world of civil works. He then emigrated to Venezuela, where he continued his legacy, and my father, Alfonso Antonio Rei, followed his example, expanding the family business and consolidating extensive experience in large-scale projects.
From a very young age, I grew up surrounded by blueprints, heavy machinery and construction materials, which led me to train in architecture, design and project management. My emigration to Mexico with my wife allowed me to enrich myself with work experiences on large-scale projects, and two years ago, my father established operations in the state of Utah. Here, we continue to grow rapidly, taking our tradition of excellence to the next level, in a dynamic and constantly changing market.

The journey has not been easy, but every difficulty has been an opportunity for learning and growth. Over the years, we have faced several challenges, both personal and professional. One of the biggest challenges was adapting to the differences in markets across the countries where we have operated. From Portugal, to Venezuela, Mexico, and now Utah, we’ve had to understand different local regulations, customer expectations, and economic contexts. Each of these elements has required us to innovate and adapt constantly.
Additionally, in recent years, the rapid expansion of our operation in Utah has posed a significant learning curve. Construction in this market presents unique challenges, such as adhering to specific building codes and the strict inspections required by cities. Overcoming these obstacles has not only required technical expertise but also patience, organization, and strong communication with local authorities.
Adapting to new technologies has also been a challenge, but we have successfully integrated tools like virtual tours and photo-realistic renders into our workflow. This has not only optimized our processes but also increased customer satisfaction. However, incorporating these technologies into our workflow and ensuring that all our teams were trained to use them was a demanding process.
