Hidden Gems: Meet Anna Parker of Anna Parker Real Estate LLC, Realtor at Keller Williams South Valley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Parker

Hi Anna, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I moved to Utah from Washington State about 10 years ago. When I first moved here I had a couple different friends approach me and ask if I was looking for a job. I didn’t know it at the time but they both worked at the same place, for a real estate team. The team was hiring. I interviewed for the job just because I thought there must be a reason 2 different people thought of me for the same job. However after the interview I was told that I was great but I wasn’t the right fit for the position. I had taken a personality test called the DISC test and had scored very low for the position they were seeking. However, the interviewer did say that I would be a great fit for a buyers agent. I scoffed at the idea and moved on.

After my first year living in Utah all my kids were now in school full time and I was considering some kind of a side gig. I started out on a venture to become a food truck owner, selling my mom’s famous cinnamon rolls. I thought it would be the perfect side hustle while being a mom. About 6 months into this idea I had figured out all of my costs and pricing and realized this new venture would take me away from my kids during the most important times of their lives. During the process of building this idea I had acquired a brand new double oven so once I scrapped my food truck I listed it for sale. I ended up selling it for $600.

A few months later I was contemplating a new idea, becoming a real estate agent. That comment about being a buyers agent had stuck in my head! I had done some research and was just waiting for that last push when I ran into a friend who was a local realtor. It was that conversation that finally convinced me it was the right move for me. I hardly slept that night. The next day I told my husband I needed to become a real estate agent and I said to him “I should become a real estate agent now so that when you start flipping houses I will already have experience in the market.” I had no idea where that statement came from. And even though he had no idea when he would start flipping homes, he agreed. I went directly to my computer and googled “Utah real estate school” and found an online school. The crazy part is the tuition was $600. Call it what you want but it was nice wink from the universe that I was on the right track.

Fast forward to today, 9 years later. I have a thriving business and so many clients that I love. I love personal development. I love growing and becoming something better. I love the challenge of refining myself and my business so that I can better serve my clients. What a gift that I get to do something I love every day!

My clients choose me because I still get winks from the universe and somehow they always get the house that’s perfect for them. It’s honestly humbling to be a part of such an important time in my clients’ lives. I love that magical feeling they get when they know they are standing in their next home!

About 5 years ago my husband was laid off from the job we moved to Utah for! While he was devastated I couldn’t get out of my head that it was time for him to start flipping homes. His first project was a huge undertaking! But it turned out beautiful! And all of his homes have been stunners. We have found our niche in home flipping and have started teaching others how to do it!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Your mindset is your reality. If you believe that what you do is hard, it will be hard. I don’t see being a real estate agent as hard. Real estate is an exciting challenge. Every deal has unique challenges or problems to solve. I’ve never looked at my business like it’s hard, I love the continuation of growth this business offers me. I’m so blessed to do something I love every day!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My clients come to me because they know I’m an expert in optimizing value in their home SALE. I get top dollar for your home! All of my listings come with staging. My eye for style and design help me to see your home through the lens of potential buyers. I know where their eye is drawn and I know what they are looking for. I take all of this data in curating the most beautiful and eye catching vision of your home. I widen your buyer pool to draw in the most buyers which translates to the highest sales price.

I’m a dream home catcher! My clients do not compromise and take any house. I specialize in finding that unique property or “the one” you’ve been searching for! I don’t just hear what you’re saying, I read body language. When we are out looking for your dream, I know when we have found it.
