Today we’d like to introduce you to Aubrey Hayden.
Aubrey, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
When I was 18 years old and still in high school, my best friend had a photography business. She needed a second shooter for a wedding and asked me to join. I gladly accepted and after that wedding, I fell in love with photography. In the beginning, a started with shooting senior portraits, small weddings, and families. Through that, I discovered that I loved action photography and applied for an internship with Real Salt Lake.
I got the RSL gig and started shooting for them as a sideline photographer and LOVED it! After that internship, I moved to Wyoming and started shooting sports games for the University of Wyoming. While I was in Wyoming, I rediscovered my love for shooting weddings and picked up quite a few clients while attending the University of Wyoming studying communication and media.
While in Laramie, I got married and found out I was pregnant with our first daughter. Shortly after we moved back to cache valley Utah where I continued shooting families and weddings as a side gig. Fast forward to today and I’m now having a blast being a full-time mom and full-time photographer specializing in families and weddings!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My photography journey has had some bumps like any small business owner.
I had to figure out what gear was best for me, how to CORRECTLY use my software, how to build a website from scratch, how to professionally connect with clients etc. Also trying to balance being a mom and a small business owner has proved to be a huge challenge all on its own.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a photographer based in Cache Valley, Utah. I service all over Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming, and Southern Montana.
I specialize in Weddings (outdoor and adventure mostly), elopements, engagements, and family sessions. I’m different because I specialize in outdoor photography. So I like hiking to locations or mountain weddings or really anything outside!

My family. My family is my everything and I would do absolutely anything for them. They are my rock and they support me in all my crazy endeavors I could not do what I do without them.

- $250 1 hour engagement session
