Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon.
Hi Brandon, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
It all started back in high school, when my interest in the brain came from a very personal place. I struggled with anxiety myself and turned to psychology because I wanted to understand what was happening in my own mind and whether there was a way to truly fix it, not just manage it.
That curiosity led me to study neuroscience at Westminster College, where I ultimately graduated with a double major in Neuroscience and Psychology. As I went deeper into my education, what surprised me most was how much of the brain was still misunderstood. Despite all our advances, many foundational aspects of brain development remained unclear or underutilized in real-world care.
Through research, I discovered the role of primitive reflexes and early brain development. I began applying these principles to myself, entirely from home, and within a few months my anxiety was gone. The change was profound-I felt like a completely different person.
Seeing others struggle with the same symptoms I once had, made my path clear. I had a calling to help others address the root causes of their challenges and realize that real, lasting change is possible. That is when I decided to make it my mission is to bring this life-changing knowledge about brain development and reflex integration into every Family in a simple and practical way.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges early on was realizing how limited the mainstream understanding of brain development still is. I often found myself questioning established models and having to spend significant time independently researching, testing, and validating approaches that weren’t widely taught or accepted.
Another challenge was learning how to communicate complex neurological concepts in a way that parents could actually understand and use. It’s one thing to know the science, it’s another to translate it into practical, accessible tools that don’t overwhelm families who are already under a lot of stress.
Building trust was also a major hurdle. When you’re offering solutions that challenge conventional thinking, people naturally come in skeptical. Earning that trust required patience, consistency, and real-world results over time.
Finally, like many entrepreneurs, I had to learn how to balance clinical work with building sustainable systems – education, operations, and digital resources—so that help wasn’t limited by location or time. Each challenge forced me to refine my approach, and ultimately, those obstacles shaped the clarity and mission behind my work today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are a neurodevelopment focused practice and education platform dedicated to helping children and families address neurological challenges at the root level. We specialize in functional neurology, brain development, and primitive reflex integration, with a strong emphasis on practical, at-home tools that empower parents rather than overwhelm them.
What sets Bright Minds Neurodevelopment apart is our focus on why symptoms exist, not just how to manage them. Many families come to us after trying medications, therapy, or years of appointments with little clarity. We help them understand how early brain development, nervous system regulation, and retained primitive reflexes can contribute to challenges like ADHD, anxiety, learning difficulties, emotional dysregulation, and sensory sensitivities—and what can be done about it.
We’re known for translating complex neuroscience into simple, actionable steps families can use from home. Whether through in-person care, digital programs, or guide-based education, our goal is to make neuroscience approachable, hopeful, and empowering.
What I’m most proud of brand wise is the trust families place in us. Bright Minds isn’t built on quick fixes or fear based marketing—it’s built on education, clarity, and giving parents confidence that meaningful change is possible. I want readers to know that our work is rooted in the belief that many neurological challenges are developmental, not permanent, and that with the right guidance, families can play an active role in supporting real progress.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that clarity creates confidence. When people truly understand what’s happening—whether in their own brain, their child’s development, or their next step forward—they stop feeling powerless and start making meaningful change. My role isn’t just to provide solutions, but to help people understand why those solutions work. That shift has shaped how I build my work, communicate with families, and lead my brand.
