Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon and Whitney Beckstead.
Hi Brandon and Whitney, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My Mini Pony Party and Pets have been in business for five years. We’ve had horses most of our lives but never miniature horses, so we ended up buying four of them to start our little herd. We learned how to drive carriages, hook horses up as a team, or drive single. We have always enjoyed going through the drive-thru at the gas station and taking our friends and family for rides.
We saw the joy that our minis brought others and decided to make a business out of it. Hence, My Mini Pony Party and Pets were born. We have a lot of fun giving pony rides and providing petting zoos for adults and children. We enjoy dressing our minis up as unicorns and letting everyone have one-on-one time with our wonderful animals.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Our journey hasn’t always been easy. We have had massive growth, and with that has come to a lot of challenges that two kids from Lehi with no background in business have had to learn. Also, when you are dealing with animals, there are a lot of unknowns.
We strive to keep our animals happy, clean, and healthy, but sometimes life throws curveballs and you find yourself at the vet with a sick animal. We have learned a lot through this process. We feel blessed and look forward to sharing our business with more people.

My Mini Pony Party and Pets specialize in pony rides and petting zoos. We can travel to you, or you can come to us. We offer a wide variety of party packages to fit everyone’s needs. We can bring our animals to birthday parties, school events, holiday parties, family reunions, church events, and more. You can also come to our home if you’d like to have your party there.
We are different from other pony parties/petting zoo companies because we strive to make every single party special and memorable. We want everyone to have fun and create memories that will last a lifetime. We are proud to offer a variety of clean and healthy animals to fit your party needs.
We currently have miniature horses, goats, ducks, bunnies, guinea pigs, snakes, a bearded dragon, and a pig. We are always trying to expand and grow. If you have a special party request that we don’t offer on our website, we would love to talk with you about it.
What matters most to you?
What matters most to us is seeing people enjoy and spend time with animals. Our pets bring comfort and joy to everyone around them. There is something about a horse or goat that brings complete happiness and fun. It’s important to share these beautiful animals with everyone.
