Today we’d like to introduce you to Drey Lee.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
For 17 years, I have had the privilege of working as a Massage Therapist and Esthetician, caring for both local clients and visitors who come to Southern Utah to experience the beauty of Zion National Park.
My journey began in the Hawaiian Islands, where I studied Massage Therapy and Esthetics from 2008 to 2010. My time in Hawaiʻi gave me more than an education—it gave me a deep spirit of Aloha and a profound connection to the land. I brought that love, compassion, and respect for healing home with me to Zion, where it became the foundation of my work and my life.
For many years, I worked at a spa while also running a home practice. I never planned to build a large business. Then an opportunity came to rent an office.
I said yes.
That simple yes became the beginning of ZionZen.
In the first year, it was just me—building a website, growing my clientele, and beginning a partnership with Eminence Organic Skincare. Then two additional rooms became available, and as inquiries from couples and groups grew, I welcomed more therapists onto the team.
In 2022, another door opened. We moved into a larger space down the street, allowing ZionZen to grow into what it is today: a warm, welcoming “home away from home” where our wonderful team can care for up to eight clients at a time through a beautiful variety of healing massage, energy-work modalities, and skincare treatments.
I am incredibly grateful for every person who has walked through the doors of ZionZen—our local clients, the travelers discovering Zion, and our amazing team. We truly love taking care of people and creating an experience where they feel welcomed, seen, and renewed.
ZionZen is more than a place for a treatment. It is a place to slow down, breathe, reconnect, and feel cared for.
The spirit of Aloha that I discovered in Hawaiʻi continues to guide us here in Zion—a spirit of love, compassion, connection, and respect for the land and for one another.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have been a constant stream of challenges! There are so many moving parts and different hats you are constantly juggling as a business owner.
I remember many times I couldn’t rememer my last day off. I remember times I was short staffed and on top of already full books and running a business I was taking on more sessions.
There are many logistics I did not understand and I have had to learn as I fumbled over and over.
I’m still having these experiences today!
But through it all, I did not fold. I learned so much! I have no regrets, because each time I fell I got to learn something.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about ZionZen Massage & Skincare?

I love the central location to Zion National Park. We have the Virgin River running through the valley. We have great outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking, climbing, canyoneering, off roading, and water sports in local Reservoirs. People are very friendly everywhere you go.
My least favorite part is the summer heat! But thats why you come into ZionZen to hide from the heat and get a massage during the heat of the day!
