Today we’d like to introduce you to Ruslana Parker.
Hi Ruslana, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Ruslana is an established esthetic injector after having worked in health care for more than 15 years (intensive care, pediatrics and women’s health). During pandemic, she wanted to pursue her creative side and entered the field of aesthetics. She is a licensed Nurse Practitioner in the state of Utah who holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. In addition, she has obtained specialized training from the NIMA institute in cosmetic injections and has learned from world-leading experts. Forever Young Aesthetic Injections’ goal is to deliver the highest quality personalized cosmetic injection services. Ruslana obtained her graduate degree, Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Utah in 2013. Ruslana received her undergraduate education from Utah Valley State College (UVSC) School of Nursing in 2007 (Associate in Science) with high honors. In December 2009, Ruslana earned a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) degree from the Utah Valley University summa cum laude and was the valedictorian from the College of Science and Health. She is committed to providing quality services in a changing and challenging healthcare environment. Her aesthetic injection practice goal is to deliver a natural look and promote self-confidence.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The challenges for me as a small business owner are similar to others. Cost efficiency and inflation of supply costs are difficult to balance. The business model has to fit the current economic order. Even in the medical field, we have to deal with supply shortages. Some very basic items are preserved for acute care and cosmetic industry business owners have to figure out other ways and check multiple suppliers until to even find items on backorder. Those things has not been a problem in the past. Finding marketing resources and creativity are other additional challenges.
Of course, balancing life, family and work goes on a different level with owning a small business in comparison with being employed by a big corporation.
Another big challenge is developing a business via licensing, advertising, billing, insurance, etc. Ruslana loves both the creative and the clinical sides. The business side is new, exciting and changing. The business side is usually not a big part of the curriculum of nursing and medical education. However, Ruslana isn’t afraid of challenges.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I think there are several characteristics that are important for a business owner’s success. Excellent customer care and relationships are key. Building a trusting relationship and transparency are super important. It has to be clear what can be accomplished in aesthetics for the customer as there are physical abilities and anatomical limitations. Creativity, safety and staying on top of current clinical skills and knowledge are also essential.
The most important goal of our practice is to provide personalized care in the field of aesthetics that is concentrated on an increase of self-confidence. We are committed to increasing the client’s self-confidence. With self-confidence, mountains can be moved.
