Inspiring Conversations with Allam Lobo of Super Anime Store

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allam Lobo.

Hi Allam, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been a fan of anime since I was a kid. I remember watching what was available on TV in the 1990s, and I was hooked. I loved the stories, the characters, and the art style. But as I got older, I found it harder and harder to find anime products to collect. I would go to comic book stores and toy stores, but they only had a small selection of anime merchandise. I wanted a place where I could find everything I was looking for, so I decided to start my store.

In 2010, I started Super Anime Store with only $500. I started by attending conventions all over Florida. I would set up a booth and sell anime merchandise. I also created a website where people could order products online. At first, it was slow going. I was working long hours and barely making any money. But I kept at it, and eventually my business started to grow.

In 2015, I opened my first store in Lauderhill, Florida. It was a small store, but it was a start. I was so excited to have a physical location where people could come and shop for anime merchandise. The store was a success, and I was able to open two more stores in North Miami and West Palm Beach.

In 2022, I opened my fourth store in Naples, Florida. And then, in 2023, I opened my fifth store in Salt Lake City, Utah. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished. We’ve become one of the leading anime retailers in the United States, and we’re not stopping there. We plan to open more stores in the future, and we’re always looking for new ways to bring anime to our customers.

I’m so grateful for the support of our customers. They’re the reason why we’re here. They’re the reason why we’re able to do what we love. Thank you for being a part of the Super Anime Store family. I’ve learned a lot along the way. I’ve learned that hard work pays off. I’ve learned that you have to be passionate about what you do. And I’ve learned that it’s important to surround yourself with people who believe in you.

If you have a dream, don’t give up on it. Go for it! You never know what you can achieve.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Here are some of the challenges I faced along the way:

Finding a good location for my store
Getting the word out about my store
Dealing with competition from other anime stores
Managing my inventory
Hiring and training staff
Dealing with financial challenges

Despite these challenges, I was able to overcome them and grow my business. I believe that my success is due to my passion for anime, my dedication to customer service, and my willingness to work hard.

As you know, we’re big fans of Super Anime Store. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
