Today we’d like to introduce you to Camille Long
Camille, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew up in the small town of Tehachapi, California, which is where I got my start in floral design. As a high schooler, I worked for a local florist named Kandi Smith who owned Tehachapi Flower Shop. I loved working with flowers even starting at a young age. I went to college at Brigham Young University-Idaho and took a flower design course there “just for fun” while I got my Bachelors in Health Science. From there my work with floral design took a pause while I worked in the healthcare field in Idaho and Southern Utah. After traveling for a few years for my husband’s job, we ended up back in Utah. At this point I had been a stay at home mom for 2 years while we were traveling and I began brainstorming ideas on getting back into a career. I thought if I was going to be investing my time and energy at times away from my two daughters, I want it to be something I love and am passionate about. So what’s simpler than starting my own business! In reality, it is a lot of work, but I want to instill in my two daughters that they can follow their dreams and do what brings them joy and fulfillment. So here we are with Juniper Bloom Florals!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have found that starting a business is so personally motivated. My goal with starting Juniper Bloom Florals was to have a fairly flexible business that I could work as little or as much as want to. I work from my home between preschool, nap times, and night time. There can be struggles with scheduling and trying to get things done, but my family is very supportive and understanding. I have found that the floral community is so open and inviting, even though it can be competitive as some small business are. Juniper Bloom Florals is still in it’s infancy, but we are working on personal and genuine client connection as well as unique and cost effective designs.

Juniper Bloom Florals is a contemporary wedding and event floral company dedicated to making your special day unforgettable. I specialize in creating exquisite floral centerpieces, bouquets, and installations that bring my clients’ visions to life. My goal is to involve my clients in every step of the floral journey, ensuring they feel truly celebrated on their big day.
Whether it’s overcoming a challenge or finding a fresh approach, I’m always ready to embrace new ideas and will go above and beyond to ensure everything comes together beautifully. What sets me apart is my unwavering passion and commitment to enhancing the ambiance of an event through flowers. I am incredibly fortunate to have a strong support system that empowers me to pursue my dream of creating and growing Juniper Bloom Florals. My husband’s flexible work schedule and hands-on presence with our daughters allow me to fully focus on bringing my vision to life and exceeding my clients’ expectations. I am also grateful for the encouragement and guidance from my family and friends, whose invaluable advice and constructive feedback help me continuously grow as a business owner and florist. Their support inspires me every day to strive for excellence in everything I do.
