Inspiring Conversations with Carlos Moyano of J&C Liquidator

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlos Moyano.

Hi Carlos, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started with a dream of traveling to the USA, which was purely realized by arriving as a student. Once installed here in Utah, I investigated the way to install the type of business that I wanted to make an “outlet” or as we know it in my country, a discount store.

One of the challenges was the new language. I was to learn faster. Being an entrepreneur is difficult, especially when language barriers are what you need to overcome in order to establish yourself in another country.

We’ve been impressed with J&C Liquidator, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My store offers various products from major brands in electronics, toys, home lines, clothing, shoes, and many more.

Most of our products are new, open-box, or refurbished. Our products have prices with discounts of over 40%, which makes them attractive to customers looking to save money, especially in these difficult times.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I grew up almost in poverty, seeing how my mother struggled to get us ahead, where many times as a child I could not celebrate Christmas, but since I was little there was the desire to be someone important in life. I started selling on the street, in minibusses and many times walking around the house and offering no parking signs.

I was in the army. I was an aviation mechanic, but that didn’t fulfill me as a professional, then I studied Industrial Engineering, and I still wanted more. I later finished a Master’s in Industrial Engineering and 3 diplomas, and I learned much more professionally.
