Inspiring Conversations with Christa Graff of Graff Public Relations

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Christa Graff.

Christa Graff

Hi Christa, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I grew up in the ski industry in Colorado, and my family instilled a great passion for the outdoors. I went to the University of Utah and started working as a Mountain Host while I was in school. The spring I graduated, I applied to be the Communications Manager at Deer Valley Resort and received the job. It was an incredible opportunity working with media and also serving as the Press Room Manager for Deer Valley for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.

Deer Valley hosted freestyle competitions and slalom. In 2005, my first daughter was born, and I realized I wanted a better balance so that I could also be a mom. I left and started my own company, Graff Public Relations. Deer Valley was fantastic and became my first client. Almost 19 years later, they are still a client among 16 others. My clients are in the luxury tour and travel industry and the outdoors. My second daughter was born in 2008. I am incredibly grateful for the flexibility of being a mom and running a business in Park City. It has truly been the best of both worlds.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Balancing motherhood and business has always been tricky. There have been a lot of late nights and trying to keep a balance between keeping my kids and clients happy.

We’ve been impressed with Graff Public Relations, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share about what you do and what sets you apart?
I am a boutique PR agency in Park City, Utah, serving clients in luxury hospitality and the outdoors. I provide editorial opportunities for my clients as well as partnership opportunities.

So maybe we end by discussing what matters most to you and why.
My family means the most to me. I love spending time with them more than anything. For business, providing my clients with opportunities and strategies so that they excel means so much to me.
