Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Lovell.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have always been an entrepreneur at heart, starting several small business over the last 10 years. When I felt called to become a Realtor it wasn’t quite the right time. Then an opportunity opened up at my husband current position to take a severance package, and after much prayer he brought the idea of becoming agents up to me. It was the moment our lives changed forever.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The road hasn’t been rough, but there were certainly some bumps along the way. For one, learning how to work with my husband as a team has had its challenges. Also, I didn’t get much support from my family. Having moved here from California 9 years ago, we didn’t have a large SOI to pull from. We had to work at building our brand and client base from the ground up. We are now building a team of other agents and showing them how to serve their community and clients!
As you know, we’re big fans of Team Lovell Homes. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Yes. We are a husband and wife team that provides everything for our clients’ transactions: Appraisals, staging, financing, inspections, and escrow officers. We only work with the BEST, so our clients have the BEST experience with selling or buying a home! We want to make sure our clients know we are not just here to help them during their transaction, but every day after as well.
Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Without RISK you can never achieve anything in LIFE. You must step out by faith before the path you are called to walk on can be revealed, or has any value or meaning. I challenge myself every day to pray, workout, and do the things that get me out of my comfort zone so I can grow.
If you don’t challenge yourself daily, you will never grow. I want to have influence in others’ lives and in my LIFE and that means having to do things that you wouldn’t normally do. Taking risks causes you to become outstanding in LIFE. If you can’t fly yet, then run; if you can’t run yet, then walk; and if you can’t walk yet, then crawl — but always move towards your goals in life.
Last year my goal was to achieve the award of Top 500 REALTOR. I did the steps to get me there every day even when I didn’t want to do the steps or I was discouraged, I trained my mind and heart to never give up. I listened to other successful people who have grown from all their challenges in life and I risked everything to become a successful entrepreneur and Realtor!
