Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Elijah Rogers.
Hi Dr. Elijah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in a small town in Montana where access to coaching was limited, so I had to figure things out on my own. I got into physical therapy after a bad experience with a PT at 16 — it lit a fire in me to make sure no one else ever felt dismissed in their recovery process. I earned a golf scholarship to Utah State, and while I struggled early on, I started training and saw how strength work could impact my game. After years of lifting with minimal progress, I dove deep into biomechanics and performance science — that’s when everything changed. I jumped from 115 to 135 mph swing speed and hit 200 mph ball speed in a year.
That transformation led to The Strength Caddie. I started applying what I’d learned to friends and clients, combining physical therapy, strength, and swing analysis to help golfers move better, swing faster, and perform at a higher level. I launched officially in 2021 and now work with golfers of all ages, from juniors to seniors — guiding them like a true caddie through their performance journey.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not. Imposter syndrome was a constant early on — I’d often question if I really knew what I was doing. But over time, as I saw clients consistently improve, that started to shift. I realized that when someone fully commits, I can guide them with a clear roadmap and surround them with a trusted network — swing coaches, club fitters, sports psychologists — all aligned with my approach of building a swing and program around the individual in front of me.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about The Strength Caddie Rehab and Performance?
The Strength Caddie is a performance-based physical therapy and golf coaching business focused on one thing: helping golfers move better, swing faster, and play pain-free. We specialize in blending orthopedic physical therapy with sport science, biomechanics, and individualized strength and power training. What we’re known for is our ability to break down a golfer’s movement, identify the true limiting factors, and build a customized plan that actually translates to better performance on the course — not just in the gym.
What sets us apart is our holistic, data-driven approach. We don’t just chase pain or chase numbers — we start with the person in front of us. Using tools like 3D motion capture, mobility and strength testing, and a biomechanics/efficiency approach to the individual, and golf-specific performance metrics, I bridge the gap between rehab and elite-level golf training regardless of skill level.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust we’ve built. We’ve helped juniors chasing college scholarships, seniors trying to stay active, and tour players looking to add ball speed and longevity. The Strength Caddie is built around being the “guide” — someone who sees the whole picture and walks the golfer through it, step-by-step.
If you’re looking for a one-size-fits-all program, we’re not it. But if you want individualized coaching that’s backed by science and designed for real results, that’s where we thrive.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are a few ways people can work with me. If you’re a golfer dealing with pain, plateaued performance, or just want to add speed and efficiency to your swing, you can schedule a full-body assessment or a 3D swing analysis through The Strength Caddie — either virtually or in person. I also offer structured programs for both rehab and performance that are customized to your needs and goals.
If you’re a coach, trainer, or clinician, I’m always open to collaboration. I work closely with swing coaches, club fitters, and sports psychologists because I believe performance is best addressed as a team. Whether it’s co-hosting an event, referring clients, or creating a more integrated coaching system, I’m happy to explore ways to work together.
To support the mission, honestly — just spreading the word helps. Share what we’re doing, follow us on social, refer a golfer who needs a more complete approach, or connect me with communities or clubs that could benefit from what we offer.
