Today we’d like to introduce you to Haileigh Mason.
Hi Haileigh, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Ever since I was a junior in high school I knew I wanted to make a difference in healthcare. I originally started my journey in 2008 as a medical assistant in an office that specialized in pain management. I was working with the provider there and we soon found out the importance of hormone replacement therapy in our pain patients. We noticed that if we replaced the patient’s natural hormones, their pain actually got better. That was the first time I fell in love with hormone replacement therapy. Once I got into nursing school and advanced into nurse practitioner, I found my other passion to be acute care medicine. I specialized in Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care and Cardiology. Eventually, during the pandemic, I saw the need for an overall preventative approach to medicine, which caused me to leave the hospital system and open up my own clinic to specialize in Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy and Aesthetics.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Thankfully, I do have an administration degree so that made it a little bit easier for me to know what needed to be done to open a business. But that being said it has not been without its own struggles. As a small clinic starting out, we didn’t really set ourselves up for the amount of growth that happened over the next two years and so at some point during our progression, we were chasing our tail to keep up with the demand. Once we started hiring staff members and finding the perfect fit per position, our life got a lot easier. I am definitely one of those people that believe that if the employees are happy, then the patients are happy and business as well from there.

Always think about what you can do to make your future self’s life better, and easier. Set yourself up with the best team, and listen to your patients (or clients), they will tell you what they need if you listen long enough!
