Inspiring Conversations with Jami Grove of Protein Packed Paradise

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jami Grove.

Hi Jami, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Protein Packed Paradise was born out of one of the hardest seasons of my life. After becoming a Covid long hauler, I gained over 100 pounds and felt like I had completely lost myself. I knew I needed to take back control of my health, but I also didn’t want to settle for bland, boring, “diet food”. I wanted to create nutritious, high protein meals and snacks that were actually delicious.

At the same time, I knew I didn’t want to go back to an office 9 to 5 job. I wanted to build something of my own, something that would give me the freedom to be there for my kids and show them what it looks like to go after a dream. So I started experimenting with recipes and sharing them with friends in the gym. That turned into a loyal client base and one freezer in a gym turned into many. Before I knew it Protein Packed Paradise had become a real business with a growing community of people counting on me to keep them fueled.

It hasn’t been an easy road, I’ve had to rebuild myself physically, emotionally and as a business owner, but every challenge has given me the grit to keep going. Today, Protein Packed Paradise is more than just food. It’s about creating a space where people feel supported, where their health goals are possible and where they know someone is cheering them on every step of the way.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not, and honestly, I’m grateful for that now. The road to building Protein Packed Paradise has been full of challenges; rebuilding my business as a single mom, recovering my health, and learning how to run and grow a company from scratch. There were times when I was cooking all night, labeling hundreds of bags by hand and delivering orders with kids in the car- just trying to make it work.

There have been personal setbacks too, moments where I had to completely rebuild myself physically and emotionally- both those experiences are what gave me perspective to keep going. Every challenge forced me to get clear on why I started this in the first place; to fuel people, to make healthy food exciting, and to create a business that shows my kids what’s possible when you refuse to quit.

So no, it hasn’t been smooth. But the bumps in the road are the very thing that made me and this business strong enough to stand where we are today.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What sets us apart is how personal business is. Every recipe starts with a comfort food made healthy. Every label, every freezer restock, every partnership with a gym is built on real relationships with the people I serve. I know my customers by name, and I love that they feel like part of the PPP family- not just a transaction.

I’m most proud that this brand has become more than just food. It’s a community. We fuel athletes, first responders, busy parents, and anyone who’s chasing a goal or trying to show up better for themselves. Our freezers are in local gyms so people can grab healthy meals right where they train.

What I want readers to know is that Protein Packed Paradise isn’t just for athletes or people who count every macro. It is for anyone who wants food that tastes amazing and helps them feel good- whether they’re working toward a big competition or just trying to have energy to keep up with their kids. Our mission is to make healthy eating something you can stick with, something that feels empowering, and something that reminds you that you deserve to be fueled well.

How do you define success?
For me, success isn’t just about numbers or sales, it’s about impact. It’s seeing someone grab one of my meals out of a gym freezer and tell me it helped them hit their goals. It’s hearing from a busy mom who says she finally has something healthy she and her kids both love. It’s watching my kids see me chase my dream and knowing they are proud of me.
I define success as building something that matters — something that makes people’s lives a little easier and reminds them that their health and happiness are worth prioritizing. Personally, success also looks like balance: being able to show up for my business, my kids, and myself without losing sight of who I am.
At the end of the day, if Protein Packed Paradise can keep fueling people, keep growing a community that supports each other, and keep inspiring someone to take that first step toward taking care of themselves — that’s what success looks like to me.
