Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Ouzts.
Hi Jessica, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been incredibly fortunate in my life. Before anything else, I had the opportunity to raise four children who I absolutely love, and I’m deeply grateful for that season. Being present for them while they were growing up is something I’ll never take for granted.
I started my real estate career in 2019 — which, as it turns out, was perfect timing for a crash course in resilience. Just as I was finding my footing and beginning to understand the business, the market shut down in 2020 due to COVID. It was a rocky start, full of uncertainty and constant change.
But in hindsight, I’m truly grateful for that experience. That tumultuous time shaped how I show up for my clients. It taught me compassion. It strengthened my problem-solving skills. It required me to help people not just navigate contracts and negotiations, but also fear, stress, and big life transitions. I learned how to stay calm, find solutions, and guide others through difficult moments with steadiness and care.
As my youngest entered junior high, I was able to step more fully into growing my business — while still being there when my kids needed me. Today, I’m proud of what I’ve built. Not just in terms of transactions, but in the way I serve people — with empathy, clarity, and confidence.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like most meaningful journeys, there have been seasons that stretched me.
One of the most significant challenges I faced was walking through a divorce. That was a deeply personal and difficult time, but I’m incredibly grateful that I had built a business that allowed me to support myself and provide stability for my children. Real estate gave me the opportunity to work hard, stay focused, and create security during a season that felt uncertain.
There have also been the normal challenges of growing any business — market shifts, long hours, learning curves, and moments of self-doubt. But each obstacle has strengthened me. My business has continued to grow steadily, and it’s truly been a blessing — not just financially, but personally. It’s helped me develop resilience, confidence, and a deep sense of ownership over my future.
Looking back, I wouldn’t call it smooth — but I would call it meaningful. Every challenge has shaped who I am today, both as a businesswoman and as a person.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Jessica Ouzts Real Estate?
At its core, my business is about people — not just property.
I help individuals and families navigate some of the biggest financial and emotional decisions of their lives. Whether someone is purchasing their first home, upgrading to better support their growing family, or navigating a difficult transition, I see real estate as an opportunity to help my clients build financial stability and grow their net worth in a thoughtful, strategic way.
What sets me apart is that I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all transactions. Every client’s situation is different — their goals, their fears, their resources, their timeline. I take pride in customizing each experience to fit the person in front of me. Even when a transaction looks “simple” from the outside, there are always layers. I’m known for bringing structure, clarity, and calm to those layers so my clients feel supported and confident every step of the way.
I’m also incredibly grateful for the people I get to work alongside. My assistant, Kelly G., has stepped into her role with a desire to learn and grow, and it’s been such a gift to build something together. I’ve also developed strong, supportive relationships with other realtors in our community — relationships built on professionalism, respect, and collaboration rather than competition. That kind of environment makes a difference.
And behind all of it is the steady support of my family, which means everything to me.
Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is the opportunity to serve. To not just complete transactions, but to truly guide people — through opportunity, through uncertainty, and sometimes through very challenging seasons. Real estate is never just about buying or selling a house. It’s about life transitions, financial growth, and creating a foundation for what comes next.
Along the way, I’ve met some incredible people — clients who have trusted me with their stories and their goals — and that trust is something I don’t take lightly.
How do you think about luck?
I believe the harder I work, the luckier I get.
Blessings absolutely show up — often when I least expect them — but I’ve learned that I have to be working, growing, and moving forward to be in position to receive them. Hard work creates the space for opportunity.
So while I’m grateful for the blessings, I don’t wait for luck. I show up, I do the work, and I stay ready.
