Today we’d like to introduce you to Jim Cannon.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I competed in a shooting competition involving 118 people in the 2015 year called the .22lr Marksman Challenge. It is a rifle competition involving shooting various targets between 25 and 200 yards in an allotted time.
About halfway through the season, it looked like there was a good chance that I might win and I decided to catalog my experiences and my training, and ultimately my win that did happen. Since then, I have begun teaching classes and selling equipment to people who want to do the same.
I love helping people improve the equipment they already have as well as providing completely new items. I sell firearms, accessories, and silencers.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was not always smooth but has never been awful. I now run a shooting competition that provides many people who need my services and products.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My partner and I specialize in higher-end equipment for hunting and competitive shooting.
Many of the products we sell have never been in any gun shop you’ve ever been a patron of. Because we are hunters and competitive shooters we know hundreds of products that most people have never heard of but will absolutely love.
We like to say we are the sommelier of shooting products. (Hopefully, you’ve seen the movie John Wick 2 to understand that reference).
What matters most to you?
Throughout the years, we have been competing and being in business one of the things we dislike the most is seeing people invest in products they later regret.
It matters so much to us to have people thrilled with what they purchase and what they use in the field.
