Hi Joe and Hannah, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We both grew up camping and have always had a love for being outside. People from all over the world come to visit the Zion area and we decided that we want them to be able to enjoy camping as much as we do. It’s hard to travel with all the equipment needed to successfully carry out a real camping experience in a tent! Also, some people don’t have the equipment or know what is needed. We put together packages of camping gear that help make tent camping trips possible for everyone and anyone!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Building a business from the ground up was a challenge. It has all been a slow and steady learning process…From building a website, picking out and buying the best equipment that will suit our guests’ needs, getting our name out there, and much more. One of our biggest challenges is that tent camping seems to be gradually reducing because of RVs, tiny homes, cabins and hotels. We hope that people will continue to want to get down to their roots, get outside, and sleep in a tent.
As you know, we’re big fans of Zion Camping Rental. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We specialize in tent camping. We provide everything needed to really get outside and sleep out in nature comfortably. Our guests can choose between our setup packages, to-go packages, backpacking gear, and/or camp kitchen equipment. When someone chooses our setup package we set up all the equipment at their booked campsite so that it is ready for them to start camping as soon as they arrive (the campsite must be booked with a local campground separately). If our guests choose to book our to-go package then they pick it up and take it with them during their travels in Zion and the surrounding area.
What’s next?
We have been adding new equipment every year and honing our tent camping packages to be the most comfortable and efficient they can be. We will continue to add to our inventory to help create successful camping trips for everyone – from beginners to seasoned campers.
