Inspiring Conversations with Keoni Dellermann of Renew Chiropractic Sports Medicine

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keoni Dellermann.

Keoni, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew up in a military family, moving around the U.S. and spending a few years in Canada before settling in Utah. I fell in love with the mountains and outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. In high school, I played American football, ice hockey, wrestling, and track and field. Later, in college, I took up rugby and went on to compete at the elite men’s level in the United States. I completed my undergraduate studies at Weber State University and then pursued my doctorate in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ultimately, I chose to return to Utah, where I’ve faced my share of ups and downs but feel truly blessed. I love the Northern Utah community and look forward to many more years here.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey has certainly been far from smooth. There have been countless ups and downs, unexpected challenges, and a lot of hard work. Through it all, I’ve been blessed with growth and valuable experiences. Unfortunately, I also faced the loss of a dear mentor, whose passing came too soon. Despite that loss, it opened the door for me to establish my own practice and push beyond previous boundaries, allowing me to continue growing and evolving in new and meaningful ways.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I’m a Chiropractic Sports Physician specializing in Advanced Muscle Integration Technique (AMIT), focusing on the synergy between the brain and muscles. My mission is to help athletes recover quickly, perform at their best, and move more efficiently.
I began my journey in athletic training at Weber State University, where I worked with collegiate athletes. I earned my Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West and completed advanced AMIT training with Dr. Craig Buhler, as well as further training under Dr. James Parker.
In high school, I was actively involved in football, ice hockey, track and field, and wrestling, and later played rugby in college and then continued at the elite men’s level for many more years, competing alongside players from around the globe.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with NFL players, professional rugby athletes, and a diverse range of individuals, from elite athletes to everyday clients. My clinic is new to Northern Utah, and I’m passionate about helping our community get better, faster, and stronger through a neurologically integrated approach.

With the motto my mentor Dr. James Parker always used, “Keeping Dreams Alive” I look help athletes continue to push themselves further than they thought possible, keep them playing, recovering faster and performing better.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Many people don’t realize that as a sports chiropractic physician, I focus on the entire body, not just the back. I assess how ankles, wrists, hands, knees, and hips function to help patients recover faster and stronger. Often, people are surprised to learn that I can effectively treat foot injuries or issues in other joints, ensuring quick and accurate diagnosis and care.
