Inspiring Conversations with Kurt London of London Harker Injury Law

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kurt London.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Kurt is originally from Southern California and graduated with his Juris Doctorate from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School. Kurt served an LDS mission in Moscow, Russia and Almaty, Kazakhstan. Following his graduation from law school, Kurt worked as an attorney for the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center, a chapter of the Innocence Project, to correct wrongful convictions in Utah, Wyoming, and Nevada. Afterwards Kurt practiced personal injury for Robert J. DeBry & Associates and then for Craig Swapp & Associates. Two years ago Kurt started his own law firm and is the Kurt is the managing partner of London Harker Injury Law which serves the states of Utah, Montana, Arizona, Nevada, and California. Kurt is a board member of the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center. He is also a member of the Montana Trial Lawyers Association, Arizona Trial Lawyers Association, and Utah Association of Justice where he serves on the Board of Governors and is a member of UAJ’s Legislative Affairs Committee.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all! Opening your own business is tough. We started with zero clients. Personal injury attorneys don’t get paid until a case settles, which can take months or years. We had to bootstrap our entire operation in a way where we grew responsibly. This meant finding free ways to advertise (which usually meant being heavily involved in the community) and responsible ways to hire and grow. We have since out grown our office and are having growing pains to the point where we need to make more hires and find a new office space that can accommodate. We are now having the problem where we are growing too fast (it is a good problem to have). We have a strong law firm culture and environment, though. We have made it a point to not change that no matter what happens with our growth.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about London Harker Injury Law?
London Harker Injury Law is a Utah-based personal injury firm known for its authenticity, accessibility, and relentless advocacy for injured clients. I founded the law firm with my partner, Bronson Harker. Our firm was built on a simple but powerful belief — every client deserves personal attention and powerful results. I was involved in a motorcycle accident years ago that resulted in a major back surgery (and another one is needed). So we take personal injury personally and we make the client experience our focal point.

We represent individuals and families who have been injured in auto accidents, trucking collisions, slip-and-fall cases, dog bites, and other serious incidents throughout Utah. While other firms focus on volume, we focus on people. Our team is intentionally small but highly skilled — ensuring that every client gets the care, communication, and compassion they deserve.

What sets us apart is how personally we take each case. We meet clients where they are, sometimes literally driving hours to see them, and we make sure they never feel like “just another file.” We pride ourselves on being approachable, down-to-earth, and deeply committed to doing what’s right, not just what’s easy. Our authenticity is key to how we practice law and treat our clients (if you check out my frequent LinkedIn posts, you will see). Sometimes this authenticity results in less money in our pocket, but money isn’t the important thing – taking care of people is what is most important to us.

We’re most proud of the reputation we’ve built for integrity and genuine connection. From our warm, modern offices in Sandy, to our annual community events and local partnerships, our brand stands for trust, transparency, and heart.

At London Harker Injury Law, we don’t just handle injury claims — we help people rebuild their lives.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I’m a frequent reader and read almost any book that people will recommend to me. I’m most recently reading John Ruhlin’s Giftology, which is fantastic. I listen to a lot of podcasts – Criminal, Crime Junkie, Sword and Scale, History That Doesn’t Suck, FRankie & Jess Podcast, Life Beyond the Briefs, Be That Lawyer, and a few others.
