What started as two dental hygienists perfecting smiles has grown into something much bigger. Today, Lindsey Jepperson and Laraine Hartle are the creative forces behind Glam Studio Pros—a bright, modern space in Heber Valley where clients come for both flawless teeth whitening, tooth gems and safe, precision piercings.
The combination might sound unexpected at first, but for us, it made perfect sense. In both worlds, safety, sterilization, and professional training are everything. We saw a growing number of beauty services offering whitening and piercings without clinical oversight—using unregulated products or skipping proper sanitation altogether. With our background in dental hygiene, we knew we could do better. Our goal was to create a space where people could enjoy brighter smiles and beautiful piercings knowing that every step meets the highest standards of health, sterilization, and care.
In 2016, a simple meeting between two dedicated dental hygienists—Lindsey, with over 20 years of experience, and Laraine, equally skilled and driven—sparked what would become one of the most unique beauty ventures. Our shared passion for clinical excellence led us to teach at the Utah College of Dental Hygiene, where we began noticing a trend: students loved their piercings, but not all were being done safely. That realization sparked our idea—and set us on a mission to bring medical-grade standards to both cosmetic and piercing services.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Our studio was built on the belief that beauty services should never sacrifice safety or professionalism. We noticed that many teeth whitening and piercing services focused purely on aesthetics — often without certification, regulation, or sterile practices. We wanted to change that. Our mission has always been to bring medical-grade standards into a creative, welcoming space where clients can feel confident that every procedure is performed with precision, care, and certified expertise.
The road to opening wasn’t simple. We went through extensive piercing training, multiple health department inspections, and countless city regulations to ensure every part of our process met (and exceeded) professional standards. Those challenges were worth it — because they led us to create a studio where artistry and safety meet.
