Today, we’d like to introduce you to Lexie Dopp.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am Lexie Dopp, the founder of LEFA Collective, a journal company that places tools for navigating grief directly into people’s hands. I created my products out of necessity. After a difficult life transition that forced me to start over in many ways, I found journaling as an amazing healing outlet. I couldn’t find a prompted journal for general loss. Everything was too niche (death, miscarriage, infertility, etc.)
Grief is an emotion many people feel without even realizing. It’s an emotion that can be felt any time someone experiences loss or a big change. I wanted to create a journal that people could use for ANY life transition, from big things like death and divorce to losses like job loss or a change in family dynamics.
My products and platform help hundreds of women cultivate self-love and mindful healing. The LEFA journal includes transformative prompts, beautifully designed affirmation pages, and plenty of space and support to process life’s complexities. As a creator and small business owner, my mission is to create affordable, accessible healing tools that help people find hope again after loss.
Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
I recently celebrated the first anniversary of LEFA Collective being open, but I’ve been working on creating these products since 2021. I feel like every step forward is met with resistance and new challenges, but with each of those challenges, I learn something new.
I often feel like there’s not enough time to do it all, as LEFA Collective is currently a one-woman show. I am also a new mom and learning to balance business and the adventures of motherhood has been a challenging but rewarding experience. However, I always step away from a challenge learning so much & because of that, nothing is a waste of time.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business.
Our hero product is our Growing Through Grief prompted journal. This journal was developed from my own need, but watching it help heal and comfort so many women in their journeys has been amazing. Every detail of our journal was so thought out, from the amazing hardcover and spiral to the therapy worksheets and journal prompts inside.
It’s always bittersweet when I send out orders. I know anyone purchasing this journal is in the trenches of their own really hard thing. The holidays this time of year (Mother’s Day and Father’s Day) can stir up complicated emotions for many people. I hope this prompted grief journal to fall into the hands of the self-healers who need this tool in their healing journey.
What matters most to you?
After a big life transition in my own life, I started going to therapy. I was amazed by the simple tools & techniques I learned. They helped me feel much better and changed how I processed everyday events.
It’s important to me in my business to create accessible and affordable products that amplify these amazing tools. Our journal is cheaper than a therapy co-pay and an amazing tool to use with other healing modalities.
