Hi Meg , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started MegYouGlow after getting sober, during a transformative time in my life. Having struggled with addiction, I knew I needed to find a deeper sense of purpose, something that could bring me true connection and fulfillment. That’s when I decided to step into the beauty industry and create a space where people could feel celebrated and empowered.
My journey has been deeply tied to my sobriety, which I’m proud to say has now been 2.5 years. With this newfound clarity and drive, I created MegYouGlow to be more than just a beauty service—it’s a place where clients can embrace their true selves and feel confident in their own skin.
I started with luxury spray tans, focusing on high-quality ingredients and a personalized experience. As my business grew, I saw an opportunity to expand further. In mid 2025, I’m thrilled to be introducing paramedical tattooing services, including areola reconstructive services for breast cancer survivors, and specialized treatments for scars and stretch marks. These services offer a chance for healing and empowerment, helping individuals reclaim their confidence and embrace self-love through artful, restorative techniques.
Building MegYouGlow has been more than just about beauty—it’s been about building connections, growing through challenges, and inspiring others to embrace their best selves. Every step of the way has been fueled by my personal “why” and a desire to create a sanctuary where people can feel empowered and supported.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to building MegYouGlow has definitely not been smooth, but that’s part of what makes it meaningful. Starting a business after getting sober came with its own set of challenges, but it also gave me the strength to push forward and stay committed to my vision.
One of the biggest struggles was building confidence in myself and the business. Starting from scratch meant learning everything—from marketing to managing client relationships—and navigating the ups and downs of entrepreneurship. There were many late nights, moments of self-doubt, and times when I questioned whether I was on the right path. But each challenge has taught me something valuable, and I’ve grown stronger with every obstacle.
Another challenge was creating a space that truly reflected my mission. I wanted MegYouGlow to be more than just a place for beauty services—it needed to feel like a sanctuary where people felt seen, comfortable, and empowered. I hope that when people walk in, they can feel that energy and know it’s a space where they can embrace their true selves.
Of course, I’ve also faced the typical business challenges—balancing finances, navigating the industry’s ups and downs, and figuring out the best way to expand. But through it all, I’ve learned that perseverance, belief in my mission, and a strong support system make all the difference.
Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. Every struggle has shaped me and the business, and it’s made the journey even more rewarding.

We specialize in creating customized spray tans that are tailored to each client’s unique needs, whether it’s for a wedding, event, vacation, or just a casual glow. I always ask, regardless of how often a client visits, “What are you tanning for today?”—because each appointment is personalized based on the occasion. From bronzer choice to DHA percentage, every detail is adjusted to make sure the result is perfect for that specific moment.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is seeing people walk out of MegYouGlow feeling more confident and empowered. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about helping someone embrace their true self, especially as we are unfortunately our worst self critics. When clients leave our space glowing, not just in appearance but in confidence, that brings me immense joy.
I also find happiness in the connections I’ve built with my clients and community. After starting MegYouGlow during a transformative period in my life, where I was learning to embrace sobriety and personal growth, I’ve found that creating a space where people feel seen and celebrated is deeply rewarding. Watching people shine, not just from the outside, but because they feel truly valued—there’s nothing more fulfilling than that.
And on a personal level, spending time in nature and with my loved ones brings me peace and happiness. It’s those moments of stillness and connection that keep me grounded and remind me why I do what I do.
