Hi Michael & Diana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
After 40 plus years in the automotive industry, we decided to move to Southern Utah permanently and look for a business that we could maintain while enjoying semi retirement. Diana used Aveda in Florida for many years so she was familiar with and loved the products and thought it would be a lucrative and fun endeavor. After being open for six weeks, we have established a great base of hair clientele, added master estheticians, master hair stylists, and nail techs to expand the day spa part of the business. We offer all hair and nail services plus master esthetician services including several facial options, chemical peels, red light therapy, full body waxing as well as micro needling and micro derm abrasion. We also added two head spas for relaxing hair and facials
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The transition has been smooth but not without its hiccups! Having to learn a new business is both time-consuming & exciting. We had to purchase lots of new equipment & supplies as well as hire several employees, which we are up to 10 currently.
As you know, we’re big fans of Haven Salon & Day Spa. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We offer Aveda products that are all plant based. Aveda carries a great reputation & a strong following. We offer all hair & nail Services as well as Esthetician Services such as facials, chemical peels, red light therapy as well as microneedling & microdermabrasion services.
What are your plans for the future?
Looking to expand a 2nd location, plus add cold plunges, red saunas & spray tanning as well as some medical services such as laser hair removal & tattoo removal, plus hydrodermabrasion servies
