In the early days, I took on every kind of job I could lawn mowing, cleanups, hauling, small projects learning the industry from the ground up and building trust one client at a time. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting a family-owned landscaping business from scratch meant learning everything the hard way. In the beginning, I didn’t have the best equipment, the biggest budget, or a full team I only had my drive. I was taking every job I could, working long hours, sometimes juggling multiple projects at once just to keep the business moving forward.
One of the biggest challenges was balancing growth with quality. As demand increased, I had to figure out how to maintain high standards while expanding services and managing time. There were moments when unexpected problems came up equipment breaking down, weather delays, clients needing last-minute changes and I had to adapt quickly.
But every struggle taught me something valuable. It pushed me to become more disciplined, more organized, and more professional. It also strengthened the family aspect of the business everyone chipped in, supported the vision, and helped keep things going when it got tough.

We came from a place where safety wasn’t guaranteed, where opportunities were limited, and where the future always felt uncertain.
So now, every moment I get to spend with my family in a safe environment feels like a blessing. Watching them grow, seeing them chase their goals, and knowing they have opportunities that we never had it gives me a deep sense of purpose. That’s what drives me in my business and in my life. Their happiness, their safety, and their future are the things that push me forward every day.
In simple terms, I’m happiest when I’m around the people I love, building a better life than the one we escaped from, and creating something strong and hopeful for the next generation.
