Today we’d like to introduce you to Nancy Provolt.
Hi Nancy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am the owner of Big Frog Custom T-Shirts in Lehi and opened the store in November 2022. I move to Utah in 2019 to be closer to family after living in Texas for many years. While in Texas, I owned a Big Frog Custom T-Shirt store in Austin for nine years. I opened my first store after working for many years in the Corporate World. After a company reorganization which resulted in my being laid off, I decided that I didn’t want to go back to the Corporate World and looked for opportunities for owning my own business. I learned about franchise opportunities and was introduced to Big Frog Custom T-Shirts which is a franchise with over 80 locations across the US. I loved the franchise idea which would allow me to directly be in control of my destiny while still having a support team through the Big Frog Franchise Group and other store owners.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The first couple of years are a challenge for all businesses that I am familiar with and I was no different. My biggest challenge when I opened both Big Frog locations was not ever wanting to say no which has led to working long hours while I was building my staff. Outside of that, I was hard hit during Covid which remains a blur of a bad memory.
