Hi Peter, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
First and foremost, I want to express my sincere gratitude for this opportunity. This exposure will be invaluable for my business, and I truly appreciate it!
I first entered the fitness equipment repair industry 17 years ago, working in the field for five years-and I absolutely loved it! Meeting new people, troubleshooting their equipment issues, and traveling throughout Central and Southern California made for an incredibly rewarding experience. That role even gave me the chance to meet some amazing individuals, including celebrities, while working in the region I called home for most of my life. While So Cal will always hold a special place in my heart, I now proudly call beautiful Utah my home.
For the 17 years, I’ve held a full-time job in the Aero Space industry, but overtime, it lost the excitement it once had. With my weekend-based schedule providing me with four days off, I initially enjoyed the extra time, but eventually, I felt the need to make the most of it. I spent months brainstorming business ideas, knowing I had always aspired to be an entrepreneur. Then, one night, it all clicked-what job had I truly loved? Field service equipment repair. That realization marked the beginning of this Voyage! Unfortunately, that same night, I received the most devasting news of my life-my mother was dying. My father called and said to come home to say my final goodbye, and the next day, she passed. This business is dedicated to her, as well as to my family and friends who supported me through such a difficult and bizarre time. In many ways, I believe she played a role in inspiring this path for me. It’s strange how life unfolds, but I feel compelled to share this, as she remains at the heart of everything I do.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Overall, the journey has been smooth, though, like any new venture, there have been challenges along the way. Each obstacle has been a learning experience, allowing me to refine my services and enhance customer satisfaction. My current challenge is determining whether to take on more customers. As a solo entrepreneur, managing the daily demands-calls, paperwork, troubleshooting for upcoming appointments, scheduling and customer inquiries-has become increasingly demanding. However, this is a promising sign of growth and I’m excited about the direction my business is heading!

My business specializes in the service and repair of fitness equipment for both residential and commercial clients. I am certified with LifeFitness, a leading brand in the industry, and I currently collaborate with Sole Fitness, local manufacturer based in Salt Lake City. Additionally, I am in the process of becoming a certified iFit technician, which will expand my expertise to include major residential brands such as: Nordic Track, Pro Form and Free Motion. “Service Excellence, Every Time”, is the foundation of my business, and I am committed to delivering the highest quality work every time. My experience in the industry, combined with the values instilled in me by my parents and the U.S. Army, have shaped my approach to service. Principles such as integrity, duty and respect are not just part of my background-they are the standards I uphold in every aspect of my work.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I wouldn’t say there’s anything particularly unexpected about me. My family and friends know me well, as I am always open and transparent about my thoughts and feelings. I have no hesitation in expressing myself honestly.
