Inspiring Conversations with Randi Gardner of Harvest Home

Today we’d like to introduce you to Randi Gardner.

Randi Gardner

Hi Randi, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I originally started my small home bakery as a means to teach my daughter about her dream of opening a bakery. We love to bake together and share our creations with friends and loved ones. I wanted to teach my daughter baking technique and also business knowledge. As I pursued the bakery though, I found it to be surprisingly personally fulfilling too! I have enjoyed curating the branding, the shop pickup location and new recipes! I have loved networking with other local small shops, working with business for large orders and creating thoughtful products for neighbors and friends.
Our bakery is still pretty new but it’s steady and we are receiving the most wonderful support and feedback from our community! We have big dreams for Harvest Home and love seeing it grow!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been surprisingly smooth so far. Wonderful feedback and support. We’ve definitely had some baking mishaps and it has brought some late nights making hundreds of cookies. But the community loves what we make and keeps coming back for more!

As you know, we’re big fans of Harvest Home. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Harvest Home Market is a family-run, porch-pickup bakery and shop in southern Utah. Inspired by our English-American heritage, our shop feels like a piece of our hearts and history. Harvest Home exists to celebrate beauty, simplicity, and family through seasonal living and handmade goods.
It’s rooted in our vision of home as a place of abundance, gratitude, and faith — “where the harvest is,” both literally and spiritually. The business expresses our belief that creative homemaking, craftsmanship, and wholesome food are sacred acts that gather people together and honor where we came from.
We also care deeply about using good ingredients in the foods we create.
Harvest Home offers:
-Baked goods such as cookies, galettes, sourdough loaves, and other seasonal treats.
-Seasonal Beverages like fresh bottled lemonades, apple juice, and hot chocolate.
-Pantry goods like our popular granola, and honey from our own hives.
– Gifts & paper goods such as art prints, floral bundles, and thrifted gift sets.

Above all, we hope to honor God in our efforts to revive the act of homemaking by offering wholesome goods that bring people back home and hopefully inspire them to create their own heartfelt creations.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Just start! And start small! We have many big dreams for Harvest Home and I used to get held up thinking I could never do it all. But once I got started, I have discovered so many little lessons and opportunities along the way and the business is growing very organically. Sometimes I have to remember to slow down and work on fine-tuning the beginning stages while remembering I will get to my other ideas when the time is right.
