Inspiring Conversations with River Arrow of R.A.W Studios

Today we’d like to introduce you to River Arrow. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Born in Murray, UT, River spent her first 16 years of life walking the streets of Salt Lake City, trying to discover herself and her passion. As she grew older and experienced more and more, she began to create a variety of different characters that she would begin to portray to others. The life of monotony was one of her biggest fears and since this fear was so vivid in her mind, she thought the solution would be to try acting out different personalities that all had a large range of contrasting backstories. By doing this, River’s mind began to race and screenplay, after screenplay was written; creating a storyline that held a role for her to star in in each one. Everything she experienced, all of her surroundings, and her life was seen through her eyes as if it were a movie. She could see the angles of the camera, the lighting of all the scenes, the reactions of the individuals, and the visual effects that came along with everyone she would have conversations with. She understood how to manipulate conversations in order for them to turn out to be just like the scenes you see in the cinema. Nothing and no one could ever be boring; if the slightest hint of boredom ever stepped in, River would write a new scene on the spot and act it out with her peers never knowing that she was portraying a completely different version of herself that was never truly her. She did it so well that not a single soul second-guessed the words that escaped her Lucious lips. Lights, Camera, Action! These three words ran around like rats in a cage every second of every day for Arrow. Since, the whole world was River’s movie, and she was the star, she came to the conclusion that in order for her life to feel fulfilled and for this stardom to become the real world for her, she would have to chase the dream of fame that she thought would only be achieved from her talent of acting in the Hollywood Blockbuster Films. She had to become the next A-List actress. Everyone told her her dream would never happen if she stayed in the state of UT. So, at the age of 16, three generations (Rivers’ mom, her mom’s mom, and herself) packed up and drove to ‘Hollywood RV Park’ where there next set of adventures awaited. Her father found a motorhome in Indiana the beginning of 2016. He, his wife, and Arrow picked this vehicle up, drove home, and the second they all got home, River’s dad got straight to work and had it ready to become the new home for these three, courageous women in a matter of days.

River struggled in school. Her struggles began in elementary and followed her all the way up to high school, where she decided to drop out and get her GED at the beginning of her Junior year. She always felt as if there was not a single person, within schools prison walls, that could fully understand who she was, nor did they even care to try and figure out this young girl, who had an imagination that ran wild and free; a mind that they were uncomfortable with, therefore, none of them ever had the slightest clue of how to teach a youngster like this one. Her days were filled with curiosity. Question after question, she would ask, yet many of the “teachers” that were supposed to provide a safe place for these children and teens to ask these questions and receive respectfully, well-concluded, researched answers, did not do their job correctly. Instead, they judged those who were different than them. They shunned those who didn’t believe in what their beliefs were and by doing this, they caused the children that didn’t fit into the norm to travel further into the reality of being an outsider. The sense of not belonging does more damage to a child’s present day and future than most realize. River learned this lesson well.

Luckily, River was born into a loving family who did their best to foster Arrow’s talents and mysterious personality. Arrow’s relationship with her mom, was one that most children dream of, but never have the chance to actually experience. Her mom was her best friend, her father was her hero, and her sister was her biggest inspiration. To this day, all of those statements still hold true. Their family bond is one of kind. All of their relationships truly are like a movie-style-type of family. River can honestly say that without the support, kindness, and love that came and continue to come from her family members, she would never be where she is today.

At the age of 11, River awoke from an epiphany, ran down her cranberry-colored stairs, and into her dining room where her mother sat.
“Tabby, I know what I want to do with my life.”

These words came out of River’s mouth like vomit as her mom responded with a calm and excited tone.

“Oh yeah? And what’s that?”

“I’m going to star in the movies.”

Her mom smiled at her while River ran back up the stairs to begin pursuing the path that would now become her future.

Since this day, 11 years ago, River has spent all of her days making this dream an actuality. She has starred in numerous musicals, plays, commercials, short films, a few tv pilot episodes, and is in the process of starting her own production company that creates films that allow people to feel raw emotions and inevitably begin to change their perspective in order to help others.

Along River’s Road to Fame there have been many bumps in the road. Bumps ultimately cost River her dream of starring in Hollywood’s greatest films and stole away the pure and innocent young woman that she once was. The city of angels proved to be exactly the opposite of that statement. More like, the city of dolls. Puppets. Fake children allow those in power to control their every move, costing them their souls in the end.

Luckily, Arrow was able to escape before it was too late, although she did experience may turbulences on the way to escaping. California almost cost River her life after she experienced numerous accounts of sexual harassment and assault. Finding herself in an abusive relationship, not just with the man she thought she loved, but with all of the so-called “Industry Professionals” that she was introduced to. Take her manager, for example. A woman who sent her into innumerable casting calls and meetings alone, while being fully aware of what went on behind those closed doors. One manager that River met with told her not to speak to him until she was 18, and then at that time they could finally talk about him representing her, because after she turned that age, these exact words were uttered out of his perverted mouth, “You could please me with no repercussions and I could give you what you’ve always dreamt about… Recognition from some of LAs most appreciated celebrities. Any director, producer, actor, actress, you name it, the door to them is through me, darling.”

Thankfully, River turned this offer down and never looked back, but that wasn’t the only time this happened. From the age of 16-19, River found herself in situations just like the one described above more times than she could count, yet she never fell for the bait.

One night in August, River found herself waking up in a hospital room with no recollection of how she got there. As she looked around, she realized her life had hit rock bottom and a week later, she found herself back in Utah, surrounded by her loving family, as she found her new passion…music.

Since September 3rd of 2019, Arrow has been writing song after song; she has composed a total of 8 albums which are all in the works of getting finalized, recorded and published right now.

She has found her purpose and has reconnected with her family, peers, and herself. She has gained her power and voice back, and she won’t stop until her story and music is shared globally. Her dream is to help those who are in a similar kind of scenario as what she was in dig their way out of what feels like an infinite, wretched, dark hole and turn their lives around to become the version of themself that they’ve always dreamt of being.

Arrow has performances coming up on August 24th at the Gallivan Center from 12-1pm and August 28th at Park Silly Festival.
At the end of the year, River will be traveling the country with her boyfriend, a stand up comedian, as she paves her way to the top and becomes the next celebrity that inspires and changes the world for the better. She will be the rockstar role model she always wished she had, but never found. River became her own hero and will soon be that for many other individuals. With her story and experiences, Arrow holds nothing back; allowing those who hurt the living creatures around them to finally have the spotlight on them, but without the lie of the Hollywood fairytale.

River has experienced what most consider the “American Dream.” She spent a year immersed in the world of the wealthy and discovered how sick many of those who have the highest positions possible, destroy those working their way up to the top, ultimately allowing a VICOUS cycle to repeat, over and over again.

She won’t stop until she succeeds and once she does, the world better be ready, because the rawness that comes from her music and personality will bring positive change and awareness to the brutality of what goes on behind closed doors. To all those who continue to destroy others, they will be exposed fully, standing bare in front of the whole wide world.

River Arrows World [RAW] will soon allow patrons who aspire for change to take control and allow this dream of people being kind, loving, and supportive to become a reality.

Arrows of the River is River Arrows personal blog where you can find out more about her story and where she is at today and what her plans for the future. Who knows, maybe she could change your life with her experiences and save you the heartache that can follow those who dream big.

River has experience in almost all of the entertainment fields and that’s what her blog is all about. Allowing those who wonder about what goes on within the worlds of film, music, radio, and theater to read truthful, personal stories that will hopefully help them along their journeys.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
A smooth road? Hell no. It has been nothing, but bumps, rough edges, dark holes, and many, many wretched people for River. The worse kind of people you can imagine are what River was surrounded by day in and day out as she journeyed down the stars that paved the way underneath the man-made street lamps. To put Arrow’s experience in California lightly, Traveling down the road to fame walking the streets of California as a young woman created a hollow human being. Someone who once felt so much and had a lifetime of creativity to share with the world; an innocent child who had now turned into what society makes out of a kind-hearted girl. . . An object used for their pleasure, while they damn well know she is killing herself every day on the inside. She stays quiet in order to not disturb those who she fears though, while they just watch…and smile…and steal more and more away from her, until they’ve created their picture-perfect woman. A ghost-skinned, heart-beating human with eyes that show their constant pain, but no one seems to look into the key to the soul when they know something is actually wrong in fear they’ll be ruined just the same.

That’s what California does. That state and the people who populate it turn a lovely and full heart into a broken one. A flourishing and hopeful mind into a decaying and negative space where the most vicious thoughts swim around and around and around, drowning the exoskeleton protecting it…

Those who have their souls stolen away don’t have to let themselves be stolen away forever. Arrow has gotten her life back on track and is grateful for what she went through. It allows her to help more people and understand those who have been through trauma better. This gives her the opportunity to compose life-changing tunes to help those who feel hollow to feel whole once again.
Every life can change when you take your power back and never allow it to be stolen away from you ever again.
