

Today we’d like to introduce you to Evan Werner.
Hi Evan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
We have always had a passion for wood-fired pizza. I’ve spent 20 plus years perfecting our pizza dough recipe. We hoped one day to share it with the public.
I worked 8 days in the oilfield and had 6 days off which gave me plenty of time to start another business. Our kids are older and we thought creating this business would allow us to work with our kids doing something fun. Covid 2020 caused a huge downturn in the oil industry and I didn’t have work.
It was fortunate that we had our pizza trailer in the works. We finished building it and took it to the road on June 17, 2020, in hopes to make a living.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Trying to figure out how much time we spend in each location to be the most productive is difficult. Winter and weather affect our sales as well.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We make a Neapolitan wood-fired pizza. We make our own dough daily.
All of our ingredients are fresh. Our 3 different pizza sauces are house-made. We bake our Hot Cookies in our wood-fired oven and top them with ice cream.
Everything is made to order. We do catering, community events, and sell pizza in 3 different cities.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
