Life & Work with Jim Adams of Utah

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jim Adams.

Hi Jim, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a musician, someone who has played, written, and studied music my entire life. I have played drums and keyboards on different bands. Most recently in the band Architeck. A collaboration between my friend Jason and myself. We wrote and recorded synthpop music and released an album in 2025 called Frality. Its available on all streaming platforms now. After Architeck ended I found myself looking for a vocalist. After a few failed attempts I discovered an app call Suno. It allowed me to upload my instrumental track, and lyrics. With a few prompts I was able to create a beautiful vocal track. It hooked me. I named my project Sofia’s Soul after Sofia in mythology, the mother of God, and soul, because the music reflects my inner soul. I have released 1 album already called My Journey, it was a journey in finding my voice and style. On June 5th I am releasing Quiet Wars, my second album. It’s an exploration of the human experience. Topics include mental health, grief, love, joy, and growth. I take the time to write each track, music and lyrics. Using AI to create the vocal tracks and the finishing production. If there is a vocalist that is interested in collaborating with me I would love to chat.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Due to tramatic brain injury I struggle with focus. Its really hard for me to grasp the whole picture. This has also caused a large amount of depression and self esteem issues. My music has been my therapy, it has literally saved my life at times.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have worked my entire life in the restaurant business. Done everything from dishwasher, line cook, prep cook, assistant manager to district manager. I currently manage a restaurant in the greater Salt Lake Cith Area. I enjoy it because I am always on my feet moving around. Everyday is a BRAND NEW ADVENTURE!!🤣🤣

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
People matter. Every person has value. Every soul is somebody’s daughter, son, mom, husband, brother, sister. Be nice to everyone! It costs nothing to be kind. Smiling and saying hello can truly make someone’s day. If you can’t be kind, step away. Being rude, or cruel does nothing to improve the world we live in.
