Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Pust.
Hi jonathan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Realizing our homeworld faced imminent destruction, my parents sent me to Earth moments before our planet exploded. With a deep desire to help others, and a love for fun, a store was born.
Jon opened Heebeegeebeez in Ogden, Utah in 1995.
In 2005 Heebeegeebeez opened in Layton, Utah.
In 2012 Heebeegeebeez opened in Logan, Utah.
We strive to share our love of comics, art, the delight of games, and unhindered enjoyment of toys with our community. Comic books, an American institution, are foundational to much of our current culture. We are proud to have supported the great artists and storytellers in this genre throughout our history. We also carry vintage and new toys to help kids of all ages find exactly what they want (even if its from the halls of antiquity)!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Through the years, we have faced our share of tragedies and trials. Each chapter has brought us more growth and lessons which we use to enrich our own experiences. We do our best to share our lessons with our fellows. Faithful comic book readers, and avid gamers have helped us stay consistent in our decades long adventure. The support of our friends, family, and communities have been integral in continuing on our path. We have had the benefit of being involved with many children’s groups and charitable organizations as we strive to give back to our friends and neighbors that have been along this journey with us.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Being an entrepreneur requires many creative solutions and plenty of forward thinking planning. As business constantly changes, I have been fortunate that we have been able to adapt and evolve, maintaining a strong presence and visibility within our community.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Without the love and support of our customers, we would not be able to be here. It is the great conversations and fun interactions we have the benefit of being involved in that keeps us enjoying what we do! Right now I also have the benefit of my daughters stepping in to help man the ship. Their fresh eyes and energy are key to our longevity.
