Life & Work with Jude Martin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jude Martin.

Jude, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started with writing food on a Food Review App (Zomato) back in 2014 when things were different and it was never a plan to be so actively involved in writing about food however I continued to do so for a long time which further gave me the boost to create a space and write blogs from 2016.

I have been writing blogs since then and now social media is a thing so, I am moving with the times and trying to put fresh Content for all out there as well.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So my journey was a very fun-filled one to reach a certain stage of appreciation by all now. I had my share of ups and downs in this time phase but yes now, I understand why challenges come in the path of something big in life.

Managing time for my personal space and health concerns in between was always something I was facing but slowly I adapted and went with the flow.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Blogging is a very creative-minded profession and with time one learns each day something new. My day is usually packed with so much to do always. Right from reaching all of the multiple places for the day on time to do food shoots, tasting, giving feedback to the management, coming back home, and doing the necessary editing and all. It’s a very creative and effort-based role to do before the final content goes out for posting.

Achievement and Recognition point of view I have Won the Top Food Blogger Awards 2018, 2019, 2020, and this year 2021 as well in different categories. Last year, I had also Won some more Contests by Eatable and Explorex App during the Lockdown time called the Unlock Experiences and Battle of the Bloggers 2020.

I have also got featured in Calcutta Times recently in a food article. There are many digital and print features where I have been a part of and it certainly makes me happy a lot.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Yes, the most important lesson is to plan your life way in advance, don’t let situations become out of control.
